I think thats part of the reason it felt too soon and too rushed. If the series had been cancelled, yuuji was supposed to die right there and then as an ending. But thank god it didn't come to that and now we have all of this awesomeness!

But the popularity of JJK was low back then and he faced the risk of cancellation. So he wrote that part in earlier on so that he could keep Itadori dead and end the series if Shueisha cancelled it
I just love jujutsu antagonists, the way they are designed, their cunning and all that. Suguro geto has become one of my favorite characters along with sukuna and gojo. Remember the date October 31st! Suguru is upto something amazing.

I agree and understand the criticisms cuz even as a manga reader I think the pacing is an issue in the series. Somethings simply are paced too quickly especially early on.

Yea JP anime gets usually one cour or two cour series. In this case, two cour series that stretches across two seasons. One cour series is only 12 episodes and stretches only across one particular season. Rarely there are shows, even in modern days, like Black Clover that stretches across that and make the typical 2000s shonen week to week episodes like for example Boruto now does.
Everyone I've watched seems to get confused by the "One of the students acts as a landmine" line. Getou is basically saying that he thinks Sukuna has taken an interest in one of the students and killing/rendering them useless would piss Sukuna off and force him against them.
