  • Hi there,
    This is a video tutorial for DIY TAILOR pattern "Baby bib with long sleeves" (Size 6-24 months). Perfect for baby-led weaning mealtimes or other messy activities, like playing with paint or play dough. The bib has a front pouch to catch the falling food, elastic cuffs for comfort and Velcro closure to get the baby easily in and out of the bib.
    To make this bib you will need the following:
    ▪️Fabric: Width - 58” ; Length - 20”
    ▪️Fabric Type: Soft , light weight woven water-resistant fabric.
    ▪️Elastic: Width - 1/4” ; Length - 5” for each sleeve
    ▪️Bias tape: Width - 1/4” when folded ; Length - 4 yard
    ▪️Velcro : Width - 5/8 ; Length - 2 inch

    Did you use cotton fabric or plastic for bab?

    Very helpful tutorial! Btw what foot did you use for the bias tape?

      Thank you 😊 I used a special binding foot for Juki industrial sewing machine. I know there are different ones for different sewing machines, not all fit. If you have Juki industrial like mine ,here is the link.

      Or here you can find different foot for different size binding, if for example you need the finished binding to be wider or thinner depending on the project.

    Where did you purchase your fabric from? Also, could you use a snap closer and if so would you do anything different in order for the snap to stay in place better?

      Hey, yeah, you can use a snap closure instead of Velcro, I would probably add two snaps side by side, about an inch away, so there is a way to adjust the neckline if needed. The fabric I use is actually from Etsy shop CraftersCabinUS , here is the link if you want 😊
