I've watched your crash like a dozen times... it hit very hard! Sooooo glad you're OK Lizzy! Crashing is really the worst thing about racing. I'm sure Bonnie will again come back from her ashes like a phoenix!
Still, can we all just appreciate how caring is Ryan Martin with everyone... he literally always goes to see the other driver before the burnout and wish them a safe race! And how strong he was when he literally ripped the left door off the car... Met him in person this year... what a gentleman!!

Man when she said she wasn’t ok and her head hurt I was so scared for her. I know she’s ok but man I can’t even imagine my wife or my daughter telling me that. So glad Lizi is ok and can’t wait to see Bonnie rippin up the track again! Good luck team musi

I would agree, but she got jolted left and then hard hit on the right. That basically your brain getting punch twice before it can recover from the first hit. (boxers get that, loose balance but then regain telemetry/balance)
@@180Bowle-r perhaps you would like to hit a concrete wall at 200+ mph head on then bounce off another concrete wall to see if you head hurts. Yes, she had a helmet/ HANS device and fully strapped in, but those sudden hits and change of direction will still hurt.

Like a good pilot, Lizzy went through her shutdown procedures while she's wrecking. She's so damn sweet it hurts to see her hurt. Could of been a lot worse.

Damn, that was a hard one... both walls, the whiplash effect. no doubt the Hans saved you from any worse injuries. (speaking as a person who knows spinal injuries, Broke C-2, A protrusion sticking into the spinal cord at C-5 and Lumbar all screwed up.) sending you a prayer.

Glad to see that you handled that well and the chassis builder, safety equipment, and rescue teams did their jobs. If you haven't already done so, PLEASE go get checked by a neurologist, not just a general practitioner or ER doc. Concussions can be difficult things to monitor and recover from, and, in the same way that orthopedists know joint injuries better than other doctors, neurologists are the folks to see for head injuries. Be well!

Really Appreciate you showing the “Ugly” part of racing (crash footage). Huge Relief that you’re OK. Wish that personnel who got to you would’ve told you to NOT MOVE YOUR HEAD (incl. removing helmet, etc). Really, REALLY BAD Thing to do. YOU cannot expect to be clear-headed enough after such a wreck, but ALL Others should’ve Known, NEVER MOVE HEAD around until Emergency staff get a Collar on you.
Just so Relieved that you’re OK, and hopefully on the mend …. I’ve had NINE concussions, and Highly advise a thorough Neurological work-up.

Truly glad you are ok. I absolutely love that you shared these videos. The general public doesn't always understand the emotions that go into racing. Thank you for allowing yourself to be seen in true elements, you showed that even people who are seen as idols and are held to higher standards can be vulnerable and they are still human! I have always had a different level of respect for you because of the way that you handle yourself and things like this only add to it. Thank you for being exactly who you are and kudos to you for being a worthy roll model for all of the young girls who are watching you.

That run before should have been a warning that something wasnt right! You were fightng that wheel making correctins all the way down. I know as a driver we can sometimes get in and knowing there might be a issue and still go for it becasue we know we can pull it off like many times before!

Dont think video really shows what its like to change direction at 150mph instantly from impact. All the safety equipment worked along with Bonnies cockpit. Hope yall get her back out and making straight passes. Douchebags saying its driver error have no understanding what goes into making passes in a door car with suspension reaching 200mph plus.

All I could think of was a concussion. PLEASE make sure they check you over for concussion symptoms. Trying to race through that could be a problem if you hit again before your brain heals. It can also affect your mental process. You could endanger yourself and also other drivers. Long term issues with concussions can be really serious. Just because it is not visible doesn't mean that you are not injured. Dale Earnhardt Jr raced in NASCAR and left racing with 15-20 or more good years behind the wheel ahead of him because of concussions. Sorry but I am worried about you.

Why didn't she pull the chutes earlier? I think most drag strips need to implement walls like NASCAR has to absorb some of the impact.
