Hoi Kevin ik had een vraag, ik vroeg me af waarom je altijd oordopjes in hebt tijdens het kiten, heeft het misschien een andere reden dan water in je oor?
Ik hoop dat je dit leest :)
Als je veel op en in het water zit met wind en water in je oor dan groeit je oor heel langzaam een beetje dicht en je gehoor dus slechter word.. Het Surfersoor fenomeen. Check it out.

Kevin, any tips on doing my first kiteloop. I am 15 years old and I want to learn it at a young age but I have no idea where I should loop the kite ( above me or in front of me ). Groetjes uit Amsterdam!!!!

I'm currently trying to learn them. I can jump about 10m high according to woo and land safely even when half rotated. This is very important as the loop will throw you around at first. You don't wanna land backwards!
So learn to jump about 10m, then only do little jumps, 2-3m high. Only jump as high as you can land with the kite catching you.
Then just do a loop at the highest point at 12 o'clock. You will land when the kite is upside down, but you will be able to feel the PULL from the loop!
You need to get used to the massive pull, learn to keep it stable and to land with that higher speeds downwind.
Then when you can easily jump 3m high, do a loop, land safely you can try your first "real" loop. But the problem is there are only 2 kinds of loops:
1. Only 3m high, loop, land without kite assistance
2. Jump more than 7m high, loop, land with kite assistance while doing a heli loop to catch you
So my advice would be that you also learn how to do a heli loop. This is a bit weird to practice without doing a loop but basically you need to jump 7m+ and then DON'T steer the kite forward for the landing but instead keep it slightly behind you. If you don't do a heliloop then, the kite will front stall or at least lose power and won't catch you.
So normally you would steer forward for the landing, soft and nice, floaty. But now try to provoke the need for a heliloop by keeping the kite slightly behind/above you and do a heli loop instead of steering forward.
When you can do the little loops and the heli loops, all you gonna need are big balls. Jump 7m high, PULL THE LOOP AND LOOP THROUGH! Don't ever think about stopping mid air. Once you pull, YOU BETTER PULL THROUGH!!!!.
Then do the heli loop and you'll be one step closer to being MEGA AWESOME :D
I can do the heliloops and the little loops but still searching for the big enough balls to go for a real one...
