Katatonia got me since the first moment I listened to them. I just love them.
I've been enchanted by them since 2001 when I heard Last Fair Deal Gone Down. I continue to listen to them to this day. Their music changed my life.

How does the note that Nyström holds at 1:08 become a harmonic on its own? You can see at 2:56 he doesn't pick the string when it happens.

its a technique for getting harmonics where instead of lightly playing a note with your fretting hand, you use your picking hand to find a part off of the fret board (usually in the pickup areas) and gently tap it in that area, also it requires holding the pick more towards the pointy side (so you're more precise)
finding the spot where it rings can be tough but once you find it, it becomes bread and butter :D
