I like my mantle to breathe after the heaviness of winter garlands, so I just use decor and no garland during the spring and summer. A large dough bowl with greenery and spring decor would be beautiful on it and wouldn’t interfere with the TV. Baskets like you have on your coffee table would be pretty, too. Just my opinion, sweetie…I wouldn’t offer if you hadn’t asked. 😊. Cindi (from WV). New sub here. Love the arched bookcase!!!!

Hi Molly. I think the garland looks very sweet. I see the challenge it presents to you because the distance from your mantel to the tv is not a lot. You have other pretty decor and florals that keeping it simple on your mantel is perfect. I love your shelving unit. It is so so beautiful and you styled it so lovely!! Garland still looks like xmas, in my opinion. What about something with tea lights. Or a dough bowl, books..ect. Simple low decor

It’s definitely from the spring section years ago at Michael’s and Joann’s. BUT I can see what you mean! Maybe adding some simple floral picks from hobby lobby to add some springy visual interest!

The way the garland is styled it still looks too wintery. Perhaps a long narrow dough bowl on the mantle with some stems and battery operated tea lights or fairy lights?
I removed it and am just keeping it minimal and simple 🫶🏼
Add some spring picks to your garland it does look like Christmas.

On your white horse bust, just take some antique wax and go over it
The garland on the mantel still looks very wintery. Maybe take out the olive stems and add some springy stems. Other than that it all looks great. BTW, the bust of the horse is too beautiful but I agree that is very white. Just spray paint with a textured cream or taupe paint.
I can see that! I may add in some simple floral picks closer to May. It’s still snowing here in Colorado 😫😅

Too much garland more spring type on the mantle would look better
