    One of the shortest evertune stringing video. Good humour, intelligent and informative.

    That string anchoring tip is a life saver! I hardly remember how to change strings without locking tuners so it became really handy 😀

    I was wondering what tuner you use, you said Mega Tuner but I can't find it online. What's the brand?

    If you suspect the saddle is too much way back putting a lot tension on the string, how should you “reset” the saddle? I’ve read on Evertune site and I don’t understand the process. The day you should put the tuning screw in the middle and pull on the string as you tune up to balance the system. When I did this my string broke. I’ve broken many strings so far and one reason might be because I over tightening the locking tuners. But my g-string changes pitch in zone 2 and my thickest string makes a buzzing sound almost as if it’s coming from the spring. Don’t know how to counteract this problem

      Had a similar problem. Take the string out and loosen the tension on that saddle completely (by turning the hex key in the tuning hole counterclockwise until you feel resistance - THEN STOP!!! Put in a new string and take the pitch up at the headstock until you reach the bendstop. The tuning should now bee too low, as you have rest the saddle. Loosen the string a bit at the headstock deeper into Zone 2, then tune a bit at the bridge. Repeat until you reach the desired pitch.

    So how does alternate tuning work?
    My guitars are tuned from C F A# D# G C so how do I set that up? Is back on the evertune bridge?

      It works just fine but you need to check that your string cauge is compatible with the evertune bridge springs. There’s three different spring tensions available. You can find the guide for string cauge/desired note it’s supposed to be tuned into from Evertune website. Any tuning is possible, rookie mistake is to use too heavy strings because you don’t need to do that witj low tunings on evertune. My c-dropped tuning has 10-52 which is guite light set but Evertune makes it so that they don’t go sharp _at all_ when playing heavy riffs.

    What i did on my last restring is i stay on the zone 2 before i use the key to tune it out then after it is tuned i go to bend stop. I find it easier

    Can you use locking tuners on an evertune bridge?

    • @deadpinesstudio5142
      @deadpinesstudio5142  5 лет назад +2

      Yes of course. For example some Solar guitars have them factory installed. Makes everything even faster.

    • @tompparmp9928
      @tompparmp9928 3 года назад

      So you don’t know what you’re doing with it I suppose. It works like a charm if you use correct string cauge to correctly springed saddle (loose/regular/hard) and tuning that your saddles (springs) can handle. Most user errors seems to be just too thick strings for a tuning. The spring cannot compensate properly and string snaps. Check out the Evertune string calculator.

      I do know what I'm doing,I should have explained myself better,the fine tuners don't work and I couldn't be bothered to take it back to the retailer I bought it from.

      @@gregmullins6927 What is the problem? Are you sure you’re at the right zone because they’re not ”fine tuners”, they are THE tuners. Headstock tuners are there just for tension.

      @@gregmullins6927 Well that’s not really a faulty Evertune then. Just find 2.5mm allen key for that or use the original Evertune one. If that doesn’t fit maybe there are broken (rounded) screws?
