I lost my wife to brain cancer nine years ago. From the time it was discovered until the end was a little shy of three months. I am very glad to see how you are supporting your friend going through all of this. Radiation and chemo are nasty and it means a lot to have a friend community supporting you through out the treatment period. I was driving her every day for her radiation and chemo treatments. I was glad to demonstrate that I meant what I promised in my wedding vows! Just.because I am a guy, it does not mean that I am unaffected by this!! Do not back off after the funeral as it is a huge period of adjustment for the surviving spouse!!!
Hi Carl, we are so sorry to hear of you loss. I cannot even begin to image the pain that you’ve gone through. I do hope that you have a support system to comfort you, particularly in the hardest moments. After losing his mum to cancer 4 years ago, Adam and I have experience our journeys with grief. Of course, I could never know the pain that Adam feels but it has taught me a lot about how to help comfort him. Before, I would feel awkward around those who were grieving because I did not know what to say or do. So instead I would do and say nothing. Now I know better and you remind me and others that it’s important to really check in on those who have lost someone they love, no matter how long ago that was. There is a quote that Adam likes which goes along the lines of “grief is like a heavy backpack. It doesn’t get lighter. You just get better at carrying it.”. Adam also recommends the podcast called ‘Griefcast’ he is a big fan on that as he find great comfort in hearing other people’s stories of how they are dealing with grief (it’s not all doom and gloom - it’s lighthearted too). Sending you love & strength. 🤍 xx Tania
Haha omg Suzanne… I’m laughing cause it’s currently raining cats and dogs as I type this 😆 Bali is beautiful but rain season is no joke 🌧️ 😅💕 Thank you for being here 🌻xx Tania
David mentioned you and your van in his RUclips video today. He was the reason I found your channel years ago. His "Cruising the Cut", is about narrow boating and one day he told us all about the GREATEST people he watched...you of course. He has another channel called "Vandemonium" about van life, and visited a van show recently where he mentioned how much he loved your layout best, in Jits.
Haha typical!! ☔️ 😂 To be fair, we’ve arrived during rainy season here in Indonesia (always so much cheaper and less busy). It rains a lot in the evenings but during the day it’s nice 🌴😜✨ Thanks for watching and how you’ll be joining us for this next backpacking adventure 🎒💕 xx Tania
The love you guys have for Trigger is the cutest thing ever! He's one lucky dog. I hope he'll continue to be your travel buddy when you get back to Jits! Have a blast!
Thank you, Judith!! 💛 Even though we’re are enjoying ourselves here in Bali, we keep turning to each other and asking ‘I wonder what Triggy is up to’ 😆 We do love him so much and miss his little fluffy, cuddly body! 🐶💕 It will be exciting when we get to see him again… his tail will wiggle so fast!! 🥰 Thank you for being here Xx Tania
It's always best to take your time when buying a property. Make sure you do your research on different places to live. Enjoy your next venture. All the best 👍 Thanks for the video
Absolutely, Janet! We definitely don’t want to rush into making a decision on something like this. It will be a big investment for us, not only money but in time & energy to renovate it into a home. 🤍 We are excited for when that joinery begins. Thank you for being here 🥰 & greetings from beautiful Bali 🌴✨ xx Tania
We are in the US. We saw you on the Newby’s youtube. We have a house in Abruzzo that we are going to renovate, so I was excited to see you there. We love Abruzzo! Thanks for the video!
Trigger is the most gorgeous little pooch. I bet he is looking forward to putting down roots and having his own trees to sniff and wee on. Best wishes for your future adventures. And sending best wishes to your friend for a speedy recovery.
Aww thank you, Susan!! Indeed Triggy will love having a second home in warmer climate 🐶✨ He loved Italy and the Italian people loved him 💛 Thank you for being here 💕 xx Tania
I think I'm gonna love Puglia, when I eventually get there! 😊 It must have been hard to say goodbye to Trigger, but I'm sure he's happy to spend some time with his Mum after his amazing adventures with you. Beautiful episode, as always, looking forward to your next adventure! 💛
Thank you, Nyree! Always so lovely to have you here for the journey. 💛 It really was emotional to say goodbye to Triggy BUT he just gives us another reason to look forward to coming home to Jits. 🚐✨ Sending you love from Bali 🌴💕 xx Tania
Thank you, Audrey!! Although I must say that through the conversations that we’ve had with our podcast guests, we are more and more certain of (& inspired by) the fact that ‘adventure has no age limit!’ 💛 xx Tania

Thank you so much, Edna! Really appreciate your love & enthusiasm for this next chapter. 🎒✨ We’re glad to have you join us 🌻 Sending love to you from Bali 🌴💕 xx Tania
Hi Jay, thanks so much! That really means a lot! We loved Italy, you have a beautiful country. We spent a long time in Italy, and loved every minute! 😊 🚐 Adam
What an absolute treat you guys are as filmmakers and creators. You make truly beautiful engaging videos and I so hope you get so many more views because you so deserve it. RUclips is a much better and interesting place with you here. So thank you for your wonderfully crafted videos. As for criteria, I might unsolictedly chip in on this. Access is probably the most important thing for a renovation. Imagine, trucks with 1-2m3 of sand, aggregate, being dropped by your property. Can a truck reach the place? I wish we had a better view as in, a view that went for miles. It's a gorgeous view of pines and trees but that's something to consider, what do you see out. Amenities, hospitals, schools (if you want kids), supermarket, a local pub/cafe and a town hall. Also, land is expensive to maintain. The more you have, the more expensive it becomes to keep it in check. You'll need to keep the grass down in case of fires for example and that takes a lot of effort. The more you have the more help you may need. It depends what you want to do with it but for veggies, fruits, root plants, etc. an acre is pretty feasable. We thought we wanted more but now that we have 3400sqm, we are happy and any more could be a challenge. I still hope you come to Portugal and see properties there as well. Portugal has wonderful things to offer but I can see the appeal to Italy. I would have picked Italy just as well. The mountains, the sea, the food, the people. So Im looking forward to those videos. Best of luck, this is going to be an amazing journey for you guys. In the meantime, enjoy Indonesia and a well deserve backapcking trip away from the cold! Much love to you both (and the cutie Triggy).
Dear Omar & Andrea, thank you so so much for taking the time to leave this considerate & detailed message with all your house hunting advice. You raise some really key points and we will be sure to bare these in mind. Really appreciate you & your support. 🤍 Sending you both lots of love from Bali 🌴🥰 I see from your stories that you’re in Lisbon now - enjoy! ☀️ xx Tania
Such an awesome Campervan and a really cool couple. Looks like you have been on so many adventures together. Started watching your videos this week after looking up reviews of this type of camper as I’m potentially buying a friends one. Makes me a bit nervous how often you guys break down, but with how cool the camper is and how compact it is, I have to go for it!
Yes!! You have to go for it! You might be lucky, we’ve only recently had problems, and the last few months have actually been fine 😊 maybe get a mechanic to check it out. I know you can pay a mechanic to go and check a vehicle for you. In America it’s called Lemon Squad. I can’t remember the name of the one in the UK. 🚐 Adam
Lots of plans, delighted for you both. Nice to forward think. I think Trigger is absolutely adorable. Prayers offered for your friend. Enjoy the back packing.
Well that was an unexpected treat! Who wouldn’t be seduced by that fabulous country and you captured an incredible sunrise. Indonesia will be amazing, I visited a long time ago and absolutely loved the scenery, volcanoes, rice terraces and sweet smell of drying coconut, etc. Looking forward to your vlogs!
Aww Vicky!! Thank you as always for jumping on to watch our film straight away. We were sure if we were able to post today cause the packing and travelling has taken up so much of our headspace but then today we found ourselves jet lagged, so we thought we should be productive and edit this film to share. ✨ So glad it’s appreciated. 💛 We’re excited for all that Indonesia has to offer too! In particular the Volcano hike 🤩 xx Tania
@@JitsIntoTheSunset I wondered about the jet lag! I was scrolling through You Tube and was delighted and surprised to find yours. I did a volcano hike at 5.30 am, alone but met some people from Lincoln coming back down! Have fun out there! 😊

Bless your dear friend, sending lots of love and prayers🙏🏽 So nice to see all the support she has. I’m excited to follow along on your backpacking trip, I’ll miss Triggy and Jits but it’s nice to know they’re taking a little me time.
Thanks Sam! Very kind of you! Yes, she had a lot of people around her, she’s very loved 😌. The surgery all went well and she’s making a good recovery! 🤞🏼now it’s just a case of monitoring the progress of recovery. We miss Triggy & Jits too! But you’re right, they needed some R&R 😂 we’ll be back with them for a bit over summer 🙂🚐☀️ Adam
Thank you for sharing a lovely video. I’m sure your sweet pup will be well spoiled by your mom. I’m in the “that is a very cute dog”camp. And a perfect little van traveller. New to your channel so going to check out your Venice and Slovenia videos. Two of my favourite places I visited while we were living in Rome. Have a great week. 💕💕💕🇨🇦
Hello Brenda! Thanks for your lovely comment 😌. Yes, I think Trigger is very happy to be back in Dublin, having a break! He’ll be joining us again in summer though, we miss him already!! 😂 🐾 as you said, he is the perfect little van traveller! We hope you enjoy the Venice and Slovenia films too 🎥 🍿. I bet living in Rome was fun!? Welcome to the channel, and thanks for taking the time to comment! It means a lot and helps our channel out massively 😌 🚐 Adam
Haha I knowwwww!! In all fairness, it’s rainy season here in Indonesia and so it was to be expected 😂 Still beautiful though 🌴✨ Thank you for watching and hope you’ll join us on this backpacking adventure! 🎒💕xx Tania
PS: Toxic mold doesnt necessarily smell musty....it can be a funky odour or a cat pee smell where there arent cats. Essential oils diffused kill mold spores and dehumidifiers are a must in most countries. Stay healthy to enjoy your beautiful young lives.
Well impressed with both of you and your travels we've got the same peugeot boxer as you but you two put us to shame memories are made in them vans ktf.
I was in Puglia in November 2022. Even in the not-so-good weather it's still a beautiful and interesting place. Wishing your friend well; will donate of course. Have a great next adventure..........is that a sneak peek of HEAVY RAIN??
Haha, yessss it rainy season here in Bali 🌴🌧️😅 BUT I can assure you that it’s still beautiful. 😍 Looking forward to sharing with you and thank you for the support, its very kind of you! 🤍 xx Tania
Thelonger you are on the road, the more difficult uou will find it to settle in one place for too long without getting itchy feet again, but just do what makes you happy, within sensible limits. All the best to you both .
You’re so right! The ideal scenario for us is somewhere we can have as a base to use to travel from. If that makes sense? So we have a constant to explore new places form 😊 that’s the dream anyway! ☀️ Adam
Nice getting an update on your plans, I’ve been a regular listener of your podcast, that’s been brilliant. It’s funny seeing young van lifers looking to settle down and buying a place, we’re the opposite having owned our own property and lived in one area all our lives we can’t wait to sell up this year and go full time to van life, we didn’t have the opportunity to travel when we were your age so we’re doing it now. I wonder if the need to travel is in all our genes stemming from our nomadic ancestry. Good luck on your back packing adventures!
Your haircut was an improvement. Nice film. Don't know where you get your enthusiasm for back-packing from. I hated carrying my world on my shoulders, got into vehicle camping pretty soon after that. A fixer-upper in Italy/Portugal will be fantastic providing you like DIY. Would enjoy watching that. Good luck in the Far East.
Haha Adam will be delighted to hear - pretty sure you’re the first to compliment his haircut. 😆 Thanks for watching and for the good luck wishes. Much appreciated! 💕 xx T
WOW you've got to tell me where you got the train from, that station looked 👌😂 have a great trip guys! Can't wait to hear about it when we see you next x
Donated for Rebecca and hope the doctors will work wonders. I really like the idea of you all shaving your hair as a morale booster. Hope your backpack holidays will be gorgeous. Thinking about a house in the Abbruzi: It is certainly cheap to buy there, but it is also a remote region. Anyway, Italy is more centrally located in Europe than Portugal making van life a much easier proposition. Italians are mostly very nice people, but that bureaucracy (like in buying a house, getting a work permit...) can be nerve-wrecking. That's why Bavarian friends ended up buying an old house in Carinthia/Austria and not in Friaul/Italy or neighbouring Slovenia. Just double-check before getting too enthusiastic. Cheers, I love your wonderful episodes. Günter/Nürnberg. PS: Living a farm life & van life at the same time might turn out impossible. Farmers stay at home/work for most of the year.
Hello Günter. Thanks so so much for being kind enough to donate to Rebecca’s cause!! It’s really very kind of you! I think you’re right about it being difficult in Italy. We are still very far away from making a decision! It’s not something we’re going to rush into. Interesting to hear your friends experience. You’re also very right about a farmers life being very different. It’s something we’re considering. I think one day being more settled will definitely suit us 😊 Adam
Wow! So many exciting things are happening! As much as I LOVE Italy and speaking Italian, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that your future property is in Portugal. 🤞🏽
@Jits into the Sunset ....okay....everyone else here in the comments, please be kind. These are just my humble opinions... Portugal is one of the few countries in the world left that is run well by its government. That alone puts a thumb on the scale for me if I'm deciding on owning property and living there for any extended period. We're living in highly volatile times, so good government and governance are paramount. Related to the government of course is healthcare. Portugal's is excellent and is super affordable for non-citizens. Including dental and vision. Culturally, the Portuguese are very warm and welcoming and happy to help foreigners. Financially, the cost of living is far more affordable than Italy. For visas, Portugal has a lot of programs that make it super affordable. However, some, like the Golden Visa, are about to end this year. So if you were thinking of entering property ownership that way, you better get in while it's still open and affordable! In fact, the program caused mass gentrification, at least in the urban areas which of course made the cost of living for its citizens unsustainable. IDK about rural tho.
Another vote for Portugal from me! My grandparents moved over there when I was little, the Portuguese were amazing people and so welcoming to us. It’s a massively varied country, low cost of living compared to when I’ve travelled to Italy. Great base to get back to the uk to see friends, beautiful beaches, great capital, basically I just love Portugal haha ❤️ best of look wherever you find!
Have you seen "Wild She Goes" on RUclips, she is a solo van lifer who is now living in and improving a small property with garden in Italy? Might give you some ideas!
😂 I know right 🌧️ I think because of the time of year we’re going to have a bit of a mixed bag of sun and rain. I hope it will brighten up over the next few weeks though ☀️ 🤞🏼 Adam
How much roughly for these properties out of interest? And how are you going to get round Adam only being allowed to stay for 3 months at a time if you want to live there? Thanks am interested in doing the same!
Hey Charlie! Thank you for watching and all great questions. 😌 These properties where around €30K-40K. And then in terms of visas, we’re hoping that Adam gets Irish citizenship through his grandmother who was Irish (still in process so keeping everything crossed 🤞). Otherwise buying property in Portugal and getting a visa will be easier for us. Hope this helps! ✨xx T
Hi ya nice video I hope your 🍀 lucky enough in your search for your property. You’ll fall in love and you’ll know straight away you like it. Take care and stay safe and cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🥵🤩🌺❤️ I wear my hair short all the time because it looked funny with hair o n one side😍
Always lovely to see you both 😊 have you thought of Romania as a base? Mountains, cities and super nice culture and people while more affordable than Western Europe 🤔 Big hugs to you all, be safe and have fun! ❤️
Hey mate, that’s actually a great shout. I hadn’t thought about Romania! I wonder if that’s a viable option. I’ll do some googling 😌 thanks for the idea!
Where do you get your camper insurance? I have access to a motorhome but nobody will insure me because I am a professional photographer?! Did you have any problems because of your filming and RUclips?
Hi Patrick, yes we did have issues! We ended up going with CoverMy who have been great. We have one point of contact too, so it’s very useful! Quite rare with insurance as far as I know. When you email ask for Bradley and tell them you came from us! 😊 🚐 Adam
Please please stay clear of any properties with mold....toxic mold is a huge growing problem and it destroyed my health for over a decade detoxing it for years after a short exposure.
Hi Diana, thanks for your warning. I’m sorry to hear about your health issues! That sounds absolutely horrible! It’s definitely something that we’ll be on the lookout for. Thanks again! Adam
I know that Brexit has become a terrible barrier for you and other long-term travelers. There is an option.. you and Tanya can get married and she can sponsor you for Irish citizenship. You likely won't be required to give up your British, either. I have a few friends who hold both British and American passports. Anyway.. worth a thought..
Thanks for this! Yeah, it’s something we have considered. A few people have suggested something similar. We need to look into it because it would be a great option! Thanks for the suggestion! 😊 Adam

Just found you guys today. 5 vids in. Great videos. Thx!
Ahh thanks James!! Welcome to the channel! 😌
Love how you ended with "Chase the sun" then the next clip shows pouring rain! LOL! Have a GREAT adventure seeking the sun!
I Love the journey!!
Thank you!! 😊
I’m so happy for you three!💗💕👍
Thanks so much, Skye! 💛
Well impressed with both of you and your travels we've got the same peugeot boxer as you but you two put us to shame memories are made in them vans ktf.
Hi Russell! That’s awesome, they’re great vans aren’t they! 😌 🚐! And yes, memories really are made in these vans! 🚐 Adam
Looking forward to all the sunshine tour vlogs ☀️☀️ safe travels guys
Aww thank you!!! We are excited to share. It’s so beautiful here from what we’ve seen already and we literally just arrived 🥰 xx T
🤍 xx Tania
Im super excited for you guys!!!❤❤❤
Thanks so much!! It’s beautiful here in Bali - can’t wait to share! 🥰🎒🌴✨ xx T
☀️ Adam
@@JitsIntoTheSunset That can work, as long as someone keeps an eye on the property for you whilst you are away..
Bon voyage! Looking forward to following your new adventures!
Yay!! Thanks a million, Jeff! Glad to know you’ll be joining us 💛 xx Tania
Haha the best station going!! 😜 Thanks for hosting us for all those lovely evenings ✨ See you in Summer for Triggy & Tilly’s rendezvous 🐶☀️ xx T
@@JitsIntoTheSunset Enjoy being journeymen. You have so much time to find a home at a later stage. Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg
Very Nice
Thank you for watching! 💛
Wow! So many exciting things are happening! As much as I LOVE Italy and speaking Italian, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that your future property is in Portugal. 🤞🏽
Ooooh, I really value your opinion, Gen! Please do share your reasons for preferring Portugal over Italy 🤓✨ xx T
Ooh thanks for the recommendation! I’ll be sure to check out her channel 💛 Thank you for being here. ✨ xx Tania
Wow congratulations 🎊
Thank you!! 💛 Appreciate you being here on our journey 🎒🗺️✨ xx Tania
It is so sad you were in puglia and didnt say what city you were in. I recognised it as its familiar to me. Abbruzzo is lovely - what city?
come to Portugal!
We will!! And when we do, we hope to see you 💛
O , ace ending there 🤭.All excited lets go find the sun 😂!
😂 I know right 🌧️ I think because of the time of year we’re going to have a bit of a mixed bag of sun and rain. I hope it will brighten up over the next few weeks though ☀️ 🤞🏼 Adam
beautiful country with very good n kind people . . . like-love from Hindustan (India)
Here it is 2024 and the only news from Italy is that Alex and Emma have bought a house there. Hope you are still looking.
Me and my family viewed the property you showed at the nine minute mark. I couldn't believe that you guys saw it, too. What are the chances ?
Omg no way!! Those are very slim chances indeed!! 😱 How is your search going? Xx Tania
✨xx T
🔥🔥 loved it guys ☺️
Thank you, friends!! 💛 And thanks again for hosting us for our layover in Singapore - such great fun! ✨ xx T
YAY OH YAY!!!!!
Thank you for always being here, Janelle! 💛
GOD LOVES YOU & SO DO I
Thank you, Judith 💛
Have so much fun🤗😘
Thank you dear friends! 😘 xx T
Hopefully you saw the little trulli houses in Puglia ??
Yes we did!! They were so so cute! Truly iconic 🥰 xx T
Such a pretty country, yea Italy
It really is! And so diverse - Puglia feels like a world away from the Dolomite Mountains we climbed! 💛 Thank you for watching! ✨ xx T
Hi ya nice video I hope your 🍀 lucky enough in your search for your property. You’ll fall in love and you’ll know straight away you like it. Take care and stay safe and cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🥵🤩🌺❤️
I wear my hair short all the time because it looked funny with hair o n one side😍
Thanks a million, Barry! Hoping that the luck of the Irish follows us along 😜 Thanks for being here and hope all is well with you in Oz ✨ xx T
@@JitsIntoTheSunset no worries! Brasov would be a good starting point maybe😊⚓
price ranges?
Hey Annie! The first house we viewed was €30K and the second one that we like is €40K I believe 💛 Thanks for watching! xx Tania
Is it me or is Adam a real life Nigel Thornberry?
So where was that cove exactly???
Good question! We forgot to add a location pin! It’s called Lama Monachile
😊 🚐 Adam
@@JitsIntoTheSunset Wow. Thank you. I will certainly give them a try. Many many thanks.
❤❤❤
Thank you, Annie! 💛
Adam
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the love, Jennifer! xx
😊 Adam
