Everyone raves about KWS...and rightfully so...but can I just get a HELL YEAH for one of the great rock voices, Noah Hunt! He is in the same league as Paul Rodgers for perfect rock voice and that is rare air.
I'm 64. KWS Is the G.O.A.T. - went to a show. was a little late. asked the usher how he liked KWS. he said "i've been playing guitar for 40+ years, I have handful of guitars, I'm going home & throwing them all in the trash cause I'll NEVER be able to play like KWS!" true story !!!!!
To all those bitching about KWS ripping off SRV .. maybe you didn't pay attention the history of the genre .. Sorry to tell ya .. all blues songs and all blues masters took from each other .. including all the great 60s players Clapton, Jimmy Page, Hendrix and more .. and SRV himself took from other blues masters including Hendrix. SRV did versions of Hendrix songs !! You aren't complaining about that ?? That's what the blues is supposed to be .. as a blues player you do your own rendition and versions of past blues songs. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is continuing that tradition in perfect form and style with amazing talent ! He is keeping the blues alive !! We all should be thanking him !
Miss Smoke you have great taste! I've only been a blues fan for about 15 years when I saw Joe Bonamassa on PBS. I just started listening to Kenny Wayne Shepherd!
Bruh ur nuts. There are other guitarists that stomp KWS. Hes not that good bro. Hes pretty routine 3:11 for solos. Which are great but not even close to stevie level
This past Friday I got to see Chris Layton play drums for the second time 29 years after the first time. Both guitarists closed their shows with Voodoo Child. Those two shows will always be at the top of my list. I've seen EC, Buddy, BB, Bobby Blue Bland and Muddy. They are the some of the all time greats but SRV and KWS have breathed new life and energy into how the Blues were meant to be played.
This is simply put talent beyond any I have seen .The man is like that energized battery! The band compliment 's each other in a way like no other.I honestly never seen a guitar player keep going like this!Extremely Talented beyond these times.I'm lituarly wondering how your arms and hands feel after an event like this. You shocked the snap out of me and I certainly hope your and the band is recognized!UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMANCE!SMILE ❤Thank you.
kenny wayne is way more than just a stevie ray vaughn clone. amazing musician. so many ways that hes given a platform for all who love the blues and those who wish to embrace them.
Love that Kenny Wayne STILL rocks that Strat after all this time! Discovered KWSB at about 16 or 17 with the Trouble Is... CD and now I'm a fan for life! Long Live Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band!!
Saw Kenny Wayne tonight in upstate N Y. Killer guitar performance. Last time I saw him was 20 yrs ago , opening for BB King. New York State Fair. He's got Chris Layton of Stevie Rays band on Drums, damn straight.Phenomenal players.
This is great! Your ears will be ringing after every show you see. Used to go see KWS Band everytime they came to town in their early touring days years ago. My Dad went once after I scored free tickets and he still talks about that one. 25 years ago I bet. Dude can shred
Kenny has it all, he's smokin! They're coming to Indiana in June. I wanna go!!! Edit.. I am going, got 5 tickets today!! Best concert I've ever been to. Going to see him again Sept.30th..What a talent!!
Love his playing !!! Reminds me of SRV”s tone from early 80s . Great player and band who create songs w great guitar leads. True gem in the music industry.
I saw SRV with Chris Layton 29 years ago and saw Whipper in Batavia this past Friday with KWS. Both guitarists ended their shows with Voodoo Child. Stevie and Jimi would have dug it immensely. I sure did!
It was so hard to see all the artists on this cruise overlapping in other venues so I thank you for capturing this fine moment I missed part of this set. Forever grateful Linda
Thank you so much for giving us this video. I've been watching Kenny Wayne for years. I saw him in Houston, on the side stage, a long time ago. What an amazing artist. Thank you for bringing it to us.
I'm there with you brother. This is amazing. Never seen him live, but absolutely on my bucket list. Great recording, quality, content, everything. 💯 👊 Thanks for sharing! Obviously a Fender guy, would love to see him play a Les Paul, but would NEVER happen lol.
@@matt12251975 Have seen him 2 times with his band and once with The Rides. He is on my short list of people I will see EVERY time they come within 100 miles of me.
Thanks very much for recording that. Wish I could have been there but this was great to see it either way. I have seen Kenny and the guys play many many times and they never disappoint. Plus, when I hung out with him before when my band was going to open for him, he seemed like a really good person :) I like supporting a person like that. Cheers!
KWS just gets better and better! Saw him play once in a bar, before he became a household name. And the quality on your video is great, Linda- you got right up close! Hope to be on KTBA someday, maybe next year.
missmoke always bringing us the best blues . Whenever I wanna pick me upper, I come here, watch a few videos, grab my guitar and jam away ! Thank you Linda, much appreciated!
Thank you. This is awesome. I so wish I was on that ship with those talented guys. I've had the pleasure of seeing them in concert many times over the years and they always are great. Even on a windy pier in San Francisco. Great songs and music. Thank you Kenny and everyone. This is great.
Hola ! Increíble conjunto musical....para que hablar del guitarrista....que manera de plasmar todo el extracto musical...muy concentrado en si de sus pares y de su guitarra.... fabuloso. De mi país Chile....te agradezco compartir . Gracias

I knew Kenny was good, but I had no idea how good. New respect, and Kenny is now in my circle of all time greats!
Love Noahs voice

Lovin every minute.
Born '64. Fantabulous!
Miss Smoke you have great taste! I've only been a blues fan for about 15 years when I saw Joe Bonamassa on PBS. I just started listening to Kenny Wayne Shepherd!
Kenny and Noah with band yeah
Wish there was a thumbs up button for everyday! but there is only one here for life, isn't that a ripoff? I listen nearly everyday
Best guitarist since Stevie Ray, and the only one that can play him since he's gone.
Agree

Now that's what I call Rocking The Boat. KWS is slaying the Strats.
In my opinion the best band of this age and KWS on lead reminds me so much of SRV. Brilliant

My ears are still ringing from when I saw him at House of Blues Chicago back in 2000 something. He rocks.

Wow! This kid gets better by the month! Probably best performance of Voodoo Chile ever since Jimi has passed away! Thanks a rock!
Update, he is no kid
😂 depends upon your point of view. When you‘re 63, at least half of the people become kids for you....
@@KlausPeterFriedl j agree 66 .........!

KWS Rocks!
I hate that when bass or guitar players do that! It’s sloppy stuff a little kid would do to be cool...
just......wow.....thanks for the upload
Thank you for this. I play it about 3-4 times a week. For whatever reason, I feel inspired each time. Great quality and audio.
Won’t find any better guitar or vocals anywhere! KWS and Josh are each AWESOME period!
OMG SCREAM!!!! Bad Ass as it gets!!!
I love that he brought a little bit of Pearl Jam to the blues on the high seas.
what song did i miss that was PJ?
@@aaronkahn5555 21:40 "While We Cry" (See also: PJ "Yellow Ledbetter", SRV's "Lenny" and Hendrix's "Little Wing" - all four are beautiful songs!)
