Thanks for sharing David. I’m glad to have joined you on this journey and wish I could have joined you in person. You continue to inspire this community and I’m happy that we help to inspire you too. Until the next ride, cheers!
I'm so glad the DRAT ride was such a success, David! You continue to inspire with your dedication to living life to it's fullest by riding your trike and sharing your experience. I'm proud to know you, pal!!
A wonderful video of a super event. We all wish we could have been there to ride and participate. You have created an incredible community of friends and well wishers. Keep up the good work and stay healthy. Best wishes from Cape Cod. We rode here to participate from a distance. Thanks again.
Cindra and I are so very happy that the ride went well and the weather was perfect. Also we enjoyed watching this video, made us feel like we were there. So Cindra and I are taking your lead , I don't feel like riding today but I know I will feel better if we do. So off we go for a trike ride.👍
Hi Ron! Glad you enjoyed the video but sorry your plans to join us got squashed. Hopefully you'll be able to make the next one or just come here anytime you feel like it and we'll ride! The weather has been beautiful the last few days and I've gotten a few rides in and it always feels good!
David It was a pleasure meeting you and riding with you and all the others that participated. The weather was fantastic for the entire ride and thank you for sharing this event it was great.
Congratulations David sorry I was not with you during this event but I was riding my city's Cambridge Tour de Grand. So I had to see it on RUclips later. Looks like a great turnout. Have a great day. I am from Canada.
Hi Jon and thanks! I've been looking for you out there. Have you been on it much? It's actually getting pretty dry. I never thought I'd say this, but it could actually use some rain.
Congratulations David on an awesome event. You have gathered a great community of like minded people to help bring awareness that just about anything is possible. This means that one day there’s a good chance that this pineapple will ride the DRAT route. I look forward to it. Great job Bruddah. Aloha.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful moment, David. I wish we could have been there with you physically, but we were there with you in our thoughts and hearts. We are so happy that you and everyone there had a beautiful, joyous day!
Just imagine if all 2.43k of your subscribers had been able to ride! My wife and I have very recently done two 37 mile trike rides here in Ohio, and I thought of your 1 st DRAT ride both times. Maybe next year. It was also good to see Joe and Julie from Amlings!
My husband and I were out of town so could not sign up to join you but so happy that the weather held and it looks like all had a wonderful ride! Just picked up my first trike from Amlings a few months ago, so maybe I'll run into you (not literally, lol) one of these days on the DPRT :). Thanks for all the inspiration, I look forward to your posts!
Looked like a great time David, and sorry I missed the ride. I'll try for the 2nd Annual DRAT ride. I happened to be in PA riding the GAP trail that week, and had you in my thoughts. Again, you are looking great brother, and hope you are feeling great also.
Craig, some of us will try hard to make a second annual ride even if just a few show up. Unfortunately the DRAT website was pulled down for lack of payment so I don’t know where we can base this group from. Someone needs to step up and see if this can be continued by someone else with support from the family.
I wish Stephanie and I could’ve joined you, but tree allergies are sidelining me for the time being. But I look forward to future rides, because we will definitely be there.
Great to see a great turnout for such a ride, very cool 😀 and so many trikes too, maybe your next one could be 140! One note, saying on your left may work better!
Thanks Misha. It was fun to have more trikes than DF bikes. And normally I do say, "on your left." But these people were walking on the left side of the path and when I said, "on your right" they moved over to the right side.
I had 73 registered and 43 showed up. I'm told that's pretty good because you normally get about half the number registered for a free ride. I have no idea since it was the first time I've done this.
@@TravelsByTrike Thanks and yeah. I was pretty shocked by the turnout. The majority of people were local but there were many from WI, MI, IN and even TX, Ontario and AZ. Based on what I've been told, everyone seemed to have a really good time. The weather miraculously cleared for us and it turned out to be a great day. Now I'm looking forward to next year's ride but I want to make sure it doesn't coincide with Tater TOT.
Hello David. I enjoy your videos and wonder what speed you usually ride. I got hooked on a trike after my son in law gave me his old one and have ordered an E Terra Trike and will pick it up next year. Keep on Triking. Gerald Dybish
Hi David, I’m Mark. I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma at age 39. I am now 67 but still have lymphoma. I’m in treatment on and off constantly. Okay now the bad news, ha ha 😀, I got RA(arthritis) a few years after my cancer diagnosis. After about 20 years the RA has progressed to the point where I can hardly walk at all and my hands are crippled leaving me with little hand function. I’ve been thinking about a trike for years now. Big problem was no local dealers in my area. Finally there are a few so I could try out a trike. I never wanted to commit that much money to something I never tried out. Other problem is the wife is against it. She is terrified I’ll get hurt. She wants to keep me in the house constantly. Won’t take me anywhere. Won’t let me drive the car which is okay but I never go anywhere. I don’t like driving anymore but am stuck home all the time. Sorry this is getting long winded. Talk more later!
Hi Mark and thanks for watching. Have you spoken to any doctors about what you can or cannot do? That might be a place to both find out what you can and should be doing and also perhaps put your wife's mind at ease.
Had. Great time. Thanks for organizing it and so glad the weather held up!,
Thanks Colleen. It was good to see you again. How's Dottie doing?
Thanks for sharing David. I’m glad to have joined you on this journey and wish I could have joined you in person. You continue to inspire this community and I’m happy that we help to inspire you too. Until the next ride, cheers!

Thanks so much Gary. It was really fun and humbling at the same time. Hopefully next year you could make it over from OH.
@@DavidRidesaTrike I'd like that!

Go David go!!! So inspiring. Love from Detroit.
Thank you!!
There is so much I'd like to say about the ride and you that, surprisingly, I'm at a loss for words! You're a good man, David.
Thanks Bill! And ditto! Plus, you have a fine cheek.
Thanks David. Powerful man, powerful story. Fight on brother.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
So very glad this event worked out so well for you and the other riders. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks so much! It was really great to meet some of you! I wish I had time to spend more time with everyone that day.
Wow, David!... What a great turnout! I wish I could have joined all of you. Thank you for sharing the DRAT ride with us all. Keep on Triking!
Thanks Tome! It was a really fun day and it was great to meet some of the folks here. Hopefully one day you'll be able to make it out here.

Thanks Phyllis! It was a great day. Well, at least in my very biased opinion it was!
You truly are an inspiration David. My only disability is laziness, I have now looked into a trike for me to ride around town. Thank you
Hi Mick and thanks. For what it's worth, I have to force myself out almost every day. I'd almost always prefer to sit on the couch watching TV.

Thanks Rich. It was, but I'm biased!
Thanks for the great inspired ride.

The wonderful turn out speaks volumes to the vast impact you have. Bravo 👏. ❤ Great design on the hats. Thank you David and Harvey

Also wondering about that delta special needs trike on the ride.
Thanks, David!
I can't give information on that specific trike, but Bowhead is one company that makes special needs trikes. As I recall, the founder is a paraplegic.
Thanks Gary! I don't know anything specific about the handtike either. I think Hase also makes one.

I'd love to own a recumbent trike. But unfortunately they are out of my price range. But it would be the only way I could ride.
Unfortunately, they are not inexpensive. But keep an eye on used ones that are out there. Sometimes they go for pretty reasonable prices.
👍
Thanks Joe!
