Only complaint, I was hoping for acrylic standies. The cardboard gets messed up too fast imo. But I don't want unpainted mimis either. Acrylic standies are a win-win. I really wish the board game community would get behind this idea more.
I was super tempted prior to the campaign launch, but realize it's just not going to get played with my current group. It's on my "Would love to play if given the opportunity" list but can't justify adding to my collection.
@@Faxmachine15 I don’t think anything was said about expecting something different - just being honest about what will or will not get tabled with your group.
@@Faxmachine15 It's exactly what I expected. Just an acknowledgement of the current reality of my game group. I'm not backing games just cuz I'd love to play them. I have to actually be ABLE to play them now rather than some hope it'll happen eventually.
Any chance you're getting a preview copy of this? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the actual gameplay mechanisms, or a full review, before the campaign ends.
@GameBrigade That is unfortunate. I remember you did quite a bit of coverage for Oathsworn with the previews, interview, and giveaway. It seems like you at least mentioned it every video for 50 videos with the giveaway you were doing.
rulebook/artbooks is marked at 25$, I usually learn games from videos and use the rulebook for rule clarification, adding it to the pledges just feels like a waste of money
They are also calling it an art book which most art books come in at 20. So my point was at least it makes use of being an art book and doubles as the rule book.
Personally, I don't see anything special about the gameplay that make me want to back it. There is already a lot of great area control on the market and Cyclades: Legendary Edition is coming soon so I will pass on this one.

I second the motion as one merely has to examine the game "Deliverance" for excellent acrylic standees. Even as an add one it is a good option.
The reason why they don't is because their too expensive, more so the mini's.
Yeah already went all-In lol.

Same dude
Im curious, what kind of gameplay were you expecting since it was already known that it was a control area type of game.

I just watched DT playthrough and i had some mixed feelings. Some rules are not that thematic and it's frustrating at times.
@laxuscloud2495 Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out.
They informed me that, unfortunately, they won’t be able to provide a prototype this time around.

@@ThrehaneMiniatures great memory! Yeah they reached out early saying that I wouldn't get one. Probably a subscriber count thing.
Shane they don't ship to where I live :(
Ha, "De planet coooore" - is that a Boss Nass quote from The Phantom Menace?
YES! Haha 🤣
I was going to go with the core but then the triple layer boards are a must. Just wish it came with the metal stuff not the book.
Hearing a lot of people ask for this
It seems like they are considering adding the triple-layer boards as an add-on

Rgis looks really, really not good to me. Thanks for the vid
Ugh, minis. Pass
They also have standees so this isn't a huge argument, but minis are pretty normal in dudes on a map game...
The first day all-in backers get nothing. That’s pretty bad. Shadowborne should be embarrassed.
