    Anyone who is a dancer or just values the concepts of dance will appreciate the precision in this performance and look past the lack of big movements. It's not always about Les Twins' big moves, the small things ultimately create the big picture of the entire performance. You also see the deep passion put in by Larry and Laurent, something that we actually tend to miss in their usual beat kills and big signature moves. Their musicality was so beautiful since they were patient to let the music speak to them so they could create. If anything, this showed how strong their skills have grown.

    6:15 Oh God! I can't stop replaying this whole video but this part especially. The precision followed by the swag at "bang bang." Lau's facial expressions. He's such an actor, I love it. And Larry's sharp movement. How can anyone not like this performance? It's pure art. Not many dancers have the ability to control their body like they do. I mean every step was clean and on point from the slow moves to the fastest.
    Sorry for the paragraph, but the FEELS.

    Can you imagine... These two would have had workshops the whole week or weeks, they have to practise their routines with their criminalz crew for the KOD battles coming up which might I mention they are winning so far, they have been working hard at their getting their album done, performing their own songs at places and also releasing dance videos with Shawn welling and working with Yak films and others, After All that and they manage to pull of a performance like this.
    And people still manage to complain about how they weren't impressed lol

    seeing this performance, i am simply dumbfounded. it's just so amazing and much more than what i actually expected when i think about it. mind you, they could have easily pulled off a powerful performance with flamboyant moves and choreography, but instead they maintain their impressiveness through another approach. this is their growth. they showcased they are able to stray away from the mainstream music and still create a stellar performance. looking back, it would have been much more simple and 'crowd-pleasing' to continue their style from WOD performances such as the 2013 and 2014 editions, but they didn't care. this was more artistic instead of the flabbergasting moves which would be compelled to be performed in order to get some applause. you can't expect anything in this video. it's unpredictable. and that is its best element. les twins have amazed yet again

  • @angeljefferson9703

    Look people, this particular piece was masterful. I've seen many fans ask reactors to react to Lauren's step x interview where he explains what musicality means to him; all the while stating how important it is in understanding them. Then they give us almost 8 min of nothing but musicality, storytelling and expression (pure artistry) and people are still complaining. Someone else said this performance will separate the true les twins fans from those who just love them for power moves and up beats.. I think now I agree. If you could look at that performance and feel nothing but disappointment when they've always been about the musicality, I'm wondering what/who you were/are truly a fan of? For those who are comparing wod 2013 (which is awesome and one of my favorites) to this performance, will you please come out of your time warp and join us in 2016???!!!🗓

      +Luke FX denny Usually I don't comment, I read them but almost never say anything, but I just had to say something this time. I thought this was probably one of the most artistic things I've seen them do and it's blowing me how people keep commenting all of this negative crap. Especially so called les twins fans. I've only been watching them for the last few months and I got it. Maybe it's because my daughter is a dancer. I don't know, I'm just not understanding some of these people. I loved it before I saw the official version. After seeing the official version I'm mind blown. Oh well, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

    When they dance together it is necessary to watch twice. First, watch Laurent. His power and musicality. Then Larry 💙. His
    beauty and skill. They really are masters.❤😊

    I’ve watched a lot of their videos and I’m realizing that whenever they dance together, my eyes are naturally drawn to Lau. He’s more graceful, his moves more extended, his plies deeper and his feet more turned out. But when Larry dances alone, he goes hard and all in. I enjoy watching his solos.

    when movement is used to show music and emotions in such a way...it becomes moving artistry. It becomes les twins. That was stunning...words can't describe. this performance did not have les twins unique brand of humour but it was equally as enjoyable if not more captivating. I believe they have mastered their craft and if they never make further changes to their dancing style, I would have no complaints. What they have given already is so vast and amazing. BTW...that ending has me walking around in a daze, trying to figure life out.

    Easily easily their best ever. This performance sits on a whole nother level than the rest. This is one of those performances where you can't lose focus or take your eyes off them for even a split second. Their musicality and the way they feel the music is nonstop and it was perfect. If your eyes aren't trained to spot musicality you won't understand the magic. Phenomenal.

    • @SerpentineWisdom
      @SerpentineWisdom 8 лет назад +1

      That's not what I mean. How good a performance is or how good a dancer is has nothing to do with how hard they go. Open your eyes and learn the music.

    • @hitomi2oo710
      @hitomi2oo710 8 лет назад +2

      +JTpainter9000 that's the point, this wasn't about going "hard", this was about FEELING the music. This was a lesson on musicality and as @Phakt. said you won't understand the magic since your eyes were only looking for power moves and not the nuances that make you look at the music in another light all over again thanks to Les Twins giving "body" to the music.

    This was Amazingly awesome..i don't know if the audience did not watch what i just watched, they were so quiet, the applauses should have been off the roof. this did not have that happy-go humour they have in some of their performances making this extra-captivating. They just keep getting better and better, slowly becoming LEGENDS!!!

    • @briancakeys3393
      @briancakeys3393 8 лет назад

      The lack of applause is due to the fact that the audience can feel that their performance was more on technicality and although it was great....thw audience is trying to understand them without the humor. Aldo my personal opinion is that I feel that with this growth they're concentrating to much on hitting every beat right when at first it was natural and their confidence was a lot higher. Love them, but yet again another performance where I couldn't feel them nor was I inspired like i usually am.

    • @kidkaptain
      @kidkaptain 8 лет назад +14

      It's intentional, their musicality has leveled up over the years so they're challenging the audience to follow along. Based on observations, the ones who can't follow are the ones who're saying this was a weak performance; but if you train your ears by watching people like Waydi, Jimmy Yudat, Shaadow, Salomon, etc. and then rewatch this, you'll see how intricate this whole performance is.

    others may say they gave a boring show.. a lousy performance ..a quiet crowd
    but to me, i think, the reason why the crowd is quiet is because they're listening ..they're not just watching the performance Larry and Lau gave ..that is Les Twins ladies and gentlemen. They dont dance. These brothers were creating art.
    These for me, is one of the things that i will treasure in my lifetime of dancing. They surpass the swag and krump level

I'm still trying to figure out how Isaac Newton laws of gravity doesn't apply to these guys? I need a do over in college! This time I will pay attention to Physics. 😃

    This is ART right there. People are saying that they didn't go hard, etc but the purpose of this performance wasn't about going hard, it was about feeling the music, it was ALL about musicality. And their musicality is out of this world. They're also avoiding their signs moves on purpose, as i've said before some ppl need to understant that they're gonna start doing new things, and I don't know if I'm the only one but I really appreciate that since people used to complain about them always doing the same moves! This performance was AMAZING, one of my favorites.

    Dance art at its best. Les Twins are changing dance as they grow older. While some would prefer they dance as they did in late teens, but as they become older and more polished you expect to see dance moves that reflect their life and feelings. They are excellent at what they do and are not afraid to step out and try new things.

    This was honestly an amazing performance. I got chills while watching them hit those subtle beats. Yes it was slightly different than what they usually do but it was artistic and expressed such raw emotions. This video reminds me of when Larry performed beggar during one of their workshops. Although he didn't do any big moves, It was so touching and powerful! Re-watch this video again and again and it gets better every time!! Love them so much!

    This such a beautiful delicate piece they've preformed. They've brought the most subtle beats out to the audience, the musicality in this performance is Immense. They way they took their time and let the music flow through them, and if you don't like this performance then you don't appreciate dance as with dance comes musicality, just because the moves weren't loud and up front doesn't mean it's any less good as their last performance, just means there showcasing other things they can do with the track.

    Okay, this is my interpretation of this particular choreography...
    --When they started their career together it was Lau who first told Larry, to go out and dance with him/together. If you know LT's life story, you know what I'm talking about. It showed on their choreo when Lau took the first step forward and Larry looked at him and started following his moves and later on they danced in sync and performed together. They also showed some of their signature moves like the twitching, the body vibration, the buffer move (back and forth), the one when Larry put his arm out and moved it up and down and Lau would move up and down too at the same time (they did this at WOD Vallejo with The Joker song), etc. That to me shows some of the great moments in their career.
    --Also there were some moves where one twin would hold the other twin from falling or went to the other side and then pushed him back up. It shows that they always support each other. But then in some choreo each of them danced alone with different style. That shows that even though they are twins, they're two different individuals who eventually wants to do their own things in life but still have love for and support each other.
    --And then there were some moves where they were like telling people their feelings and emotions. Because they're human too. They made mistakes, went through hard times and etc. But finally, as the music was fading they started to dance slow. To me that shows their personality. As they get older, they become more mature, calm, and humble.
    --Last one but not least, their choice of music is not what many people know or the popular one, but still a beautiful music. It shows they've been to so many places in the world that not many people familiar with or even know about it, and it has broaden their mind and opened their heart wider. And it always made people ask, "What's the name of the song?"

    After being utterly blown away just like any other top Lew Twins performance, i come down to see people saying oh this performance wasn't that great...huh..? You must be crazy...I've been watching them for 5-6 years now, a lot, their evolution is crazy. The problem is u don't see the evolution, you don't see the detail, the technique, the un-replicability where when they do a move, on'y they can produce that effect because of how gifted and hard working they are. This is an all time great LewTwins performance. Also, you can't tell when they're going 50%, 70%, 80%, 90% etc. You think it's all the same, when you've done something as long as they have its smart to conserve energy, warm up thoroughly, they dance a lot...also i believe they had the world dance tournament which they were likely saving themselves for...why don't u go watch those if you want to see all out stuff

This dance is by far one of their best as of late....They showed off their signature moves in the beginning and put interesting spins on them throughout the whole dance but it was clear they were focusing more on the musicality and flow. It's like they were telling a story of going back to the basics....
