He is a mentor for many with parkinsons .anyone sitting there waiting to find out if they have this can find comfort from this man He has done so much more as a man with parkinsons then he would just as a actor. Just gotta love this guy
Michael J. Fox is and will always be a legend! He has given us so many great classic movies, and is now using his celebrity status to try and make people aware of and hopefully find a cure for Parkinson's disease, which is a lot more worthwhile than what some other celebrities use their fame for. I wish him and his familly all the best. Oh and ignorant people should just refrain from posting a comment, enough said.
I dont know what it is, but you cant help but to admire him. I mean even if I didn't know who he was I would still probably feel compassion and admiration towards him. thus I am deeply saddened by his condition and sometimes wonder what kind of movies and career he would lead if it were not for his PD. One of very few famous people I actually get emotional about. You are awesome Michael, in every sense of the word. I wish you all the best
i am 18 and michael is my hero, i have so much respect for him, i would walk thousands of miles for him, they will find the cure, i dream that i will meet him and they will find the cure. Michael dont give up, stay the way you are and you will go far.
I look at videos in past years and he seems to be getting treatment that helps with the disease. He looks as if he's progressed greatly. That's awesome!
Good luck Michael... I DO hope you get better... Your Marty taught me how to be a cool everyday guy... Words can't describe how much does it hurt to see you suffering through this... I pray to God you beat Parkinsons and completely be your usual great self again.
i always found him so cute and humble he never tried too hard to be "so cool" and you know like these jerks nowdays who don't have the least talent like michael does he never tried that he just was cool great actor and human being
I really respect this man in the face of adversity he still continues not only to live his dream of acting but also funding and putting years of his life into research to not only benefit himself but millions of other people around the world I may not know him in real life and my judgement of his character is based on the perceptions he produces during interviews however actions speak louder than words and by god his actions are great I really hope that i get to meet him and he beats parkinsons
To me he will always be Marty McFly. Rolled up sleeves and running shoes, he still looks like it too lol. What a guy. If I'm ever diagnosed with any sort of ailment I hope to hell I can remain as positive about it as he does about his. Respect.
My dad has Parkinson's and it looks just like this. The way the speech is affected, the movements(dyskinesia and tremors) and seeing Michael trying so hard to find a cure just gives me hope. Maybe it won't happen in my dad's lifetime, but someone in the future might be cured.
Michael J. Fox is not one only one of the greatest living actors, I'd say he's one of the greatest living people. (BTW, it seems 6 people accidentally hit the dislike button).
I love Michael J. Fox. We will always share the same three initials in our names. But seriously, he is a really caring guy who has a great attitude. And yes, he was a great guy even before he got Parkinson's disease. Even more so now. The good things he has done given his adversity.
Michael shows us along with many other celebrities, that they are human too. They have their own struggles. Alcohol, family, drugs, you name it. Like us, they do have their good moments and their bad moments. Like Christopher Hitchens has cancer, a lot of people wonder 'why?'. Why not? They're just humans, not gods. Kudos for Michael for being so awesome and inspiring!!
Mr. Fox is an amazing guy. I wish him all the best in all things. I hope he gets to do more acting, because he is extremely talented! :) Canada is proud of you!
Wish Michael J Fox good health and a speedy recovery to what has been a curable long standing illness he has largely thwarted with the power of his spirit. Peace Love and Happiness...JJ.
I can speak honestly from a disabled POV and will say the first thing to being as happy as he is at this juncture is he was rich when he came down with PD. Most people who are disabled by such diseases don't have the luxury of reacting to their situations because economical reasons compartmentalize you to being a zero human being. Today's world wants healthy and vibrant young people under 30 rather than anyone who seems over that age and GOD forbid you being gimpy in any way. Truth.......
I recall an interview in Oprah for a year or two ago. A scientist specialising in PD told Michael J. Fox, Oprah, the audience - well, the world - they were single digit years away from a cure. I mean, it would be fantastic.
Michael J Fox is an incredibly good actor, (or was, dunno how he is now) But even if he won't do more movies, or even if he will, he will still be one of my favourite actors. Michael J Fox is great!
lately I've started to watch spin city because is back on tv and I had no idea he had this disease.it made mi sad just to see what kind of things can strike you in you're life time.
Yes, actually I heard Metro Station asked Michael to make 'Shake It' with them as well, but he was apparently busy with 'Shake your money maker' by Ludacris and had already recorded Shake Your Booty by Kc & the Sunshine Band ...
That is why I wish I knew. Annette Funicello did no harm to anyone but then she got MS which eventually continued to spiral down until she died in her early 70s. It bothered me she did. She had so much to live for.
I think someone should make a film in which the protagonist happens to have Parkinson's. It could either be essential to the plot somehow (like diabetes in Memento) or just a happenstance, an added level of depth for the character. That way we MJF fans can see him in another movie, he can continue to act in films (if he wants to), and the public in general will see him do his thing, to the delight of all.
My daughter has Type 1 diabetes and my wife has a t-shirt that says "Insulin is not a cure!" I call it her activist stance shirt-you are right about cures vs research and fund raising.
if you're interested, watch some other interviews (with him or other people) about parkinson's. It always really depends when and how strong the medication kicks in, it's very hard to time.
u= a spiritual person+you carry yourself in a pos manner -u r a tremendous spark in the emerging intellectual stage of 21st century. survivors that proceed to next eons are mentally endowed & have basic survival ability. we generate positive energy as individuals to forward the coming ages which will have a large correction in human population. we are energetically and spiritually enabled persons who are the beginning unknown age of the future. we must mentally transfer energy when we can.
Buona fortuna caro Marty..spero che tu riesca a sconfiggere i tuoi malori.. Grazie per quello che tu e Christopher ci avete regalato!!Non vi dimenticherò mai.
Here is a guy who has never Been Involved in any kind of scandal and who has always Seemed Like a Truely Descent Guy. And It is Unfortunate that Hes been afflicted with this terrible illness. And along with maybe one or 2 other people in Hollywood I actualy give a shit about this guy. I really and truely hope that he can get healthy some day. I think he was and is one of the good guys.
He is a mentor for many with parkinsons .anyone sitting there waiting to find out if they have this can find comfort from this man

Not many people in his position would react so gracefully. Bravo, Mr. Fox

Michael is my hero... I have a rare disease linked to Parkinson's and he helps me deal with it better.
i always found him so cute and humble he never tried too hard to be "so cool" and you know like these jerks nowdays who don't have the least talent like michael does
he never tried that he just was cool great actor and human being

Thank you for making a difference. My mom had Parkinson's.

I agree Micheal is strong he has not given up even with his disease. I am proud of him for that

Love you Michael! I love your movies! I would love to see you more in movies! He is the greatest actor! Funny and talented!
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy rocks. =D
he seems slightly calmer here, over some of the other interviews hes been on.
It all depends on his medication. Imagine having a schedule and trying to read your body to accommodate your symptoms with medication
He's said so many wise things in videos like this. Amazing and fun guy.
Mr. Fox is an amazing guy. I wish him all the best in all things. I hope he gets to do more acting, because he is extremely talented! :)
Canada is proud of you!
Wish Michael J Fox good health and a speedy recovery to what has been a curable long standing illness he has largely thwarted with the power of his spirit. Peace Love and Happiness...JJ.

So impressed with the heart and will that Fox has.
Perhaps Rush Limbaugh should watch this video to see what courage is.

"Creative people may live tragic lives, yet through these circumstances people can live beyond life, where ecstasy resides."

he's so grounded, wise and witty.

Truth.......
He's still a good actor. He was on six episodes of Rescue Me. :)
Still have that "young boy look", amazing
He's such an awesome human being. I love him and admire him.
I recall an interview in Oprah for a year or two ago. A scientist specialising in PD told Michael J. Fox, Oprah, the audience - well, the world - they were single digit years away from a cure. I mean, it would be fantastic.
