Nice to see, I think I was crewing on 'Centaur' that day. The usual routine was for the Southend Match to be on the Saturday and the Medway Match on the Bank Holiday Monday over the Whitsun weekend.

Barge was Venture. John Basset was the owner.
Skipper looks like Rueben Webb. Jack Ward was aboard too so mostly Pin Mill crew. Think Centaur was owned by Richard Duke then.
Correction that was Bill Grimsey not Jack Ward. Terry Everitt is also in the clip. John Fairbrother sailing Kitty.
