Sabrina is infuriating. All of the conflict is self imposed, and when her aunts offer to fix it she’s like, “nah i’ll fix i myself,” and proceeds to make it worse

Right! She always tries to be the best person but like she’s interfering to the point where she fucks it up for everyone else. Lol
I feel like they always solve problems too easily. In season 2, they made it look like being queen of hell would be awful and Nick sacrificed so she wouldn't have to. Then in season 3 it takes like 1 episode for her to say "eh okay" and become queen... To save Nick. I get the intention, but it made his sacrifice almost pointless. Besides, they keep bringing things that are supposed to be so dangerous and difficult only to solve it in the same episode, like some of the eldritch terrors, for example.
Also Sabrina always wants to help everyone, but she wants to do it on her terms rather than listen to what the other person needs, which is just selfish. This whole thing with Harvey's brother made it hard for me to sympathise with her.

It bugs me bc she never listens to what Harvey really needs. Instead, she decides he needs his brother back from the dead, then uses magic she isn't knowledgeable enough to fully comprehend bc what could go wrong... And Harvey has to kill his own brother in the end. It' a bit selfish if you think about it, she only wants to help people if it's on her own terms, regardless of what they truly need.

The show actually got renewed for a second season right after they ordered the first.
They're filming seasons 1 and 2 back to back and they finish filming season 2 in December.

Harvey's arc is actually pretty good too. He is very self conscious at the beginning because he's a "coward", and his brother is the only one in his family that gets him. But he wants to be brave for Sabrina and in the end he has to be brave because of Sabrina and kill his brother. They also show how he's not comfortable with the whole shooting living creatures stuff he tries to do it cause he want to fit in and be respected by his family and in the end he is forced to man up and shoot the only family that really matters to him.

Like there were two kids was it like the other part of Sabrina like the satan part or whatever or was it another child. It makes no sense why they would do that. They should have had one child and show goat feet and then watches them disappear into human feet. THAT would have made sense. Anyway, I'm just ready for season 5 of Riverdale. And very disappointed about there only being 4 seasons of Sabrina. That's mad lame.

About the focus, I've noticed that they use the blur only on scenes focusing on the witches or their magic, but when the characters are interacting with humans, the focus is normal.

i think this was a GREAT first season, most of the things that annoyed me in first few episodes dissipated by the last half. i really love that the writers have rooted a lot of the details and are building off of real traditional witch lore & workings, and not just making up some ~cool magical things~ from thin air, it makes it feel a lot more rich that way.
The only thing that isn't great is how it falls into the negative stereotype of witches being Satan worshippers, turning real Wiccan culture into supposed luciferianism, which is something really harmful that real practitioners have been trying to get past in the eyes of the public for like, forever.

If the common person knows anything about them at all above prejudicely thinking witch=devil worshipper, they see Wicca and witchcraft as the same thing. So if something is damaging towards the perception of witchcraft to the general public, it's assumable that Wicca would probably get lumped in with it.
That aside, it still perpetuates the stereotype of at least witches being devil worshippers to a large amount of people. I still love the story and feel like they do a pretty good job making it more realistic other than that. It was just something that always got on my nerves a little

so the blurryness is basically to indicate when there's some type of magic involved, which is also why it's typically in/around their house. but yeah, it gives you a type of mystical feeling.

The comic opening is specifically a nod to the comic "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina". It's an actual comic, and SUPER dark. The aunties are full-on in it. This series is somewhat based off of it.
Season 2 Is amazing a lot more adventures and advanced tales. You definitely should watch it!!!

For the most part people don't share rooms with someone else, other than their partner, unless it's a necessity, I assume like you and your sister. For them it's more out of comfort and familiarity.

Salem being her familiar, she kind of sent out like a magical job opening for a familiar in the beginning of the first episode. Just before the Weird sisters are first introduced. Salem just answered her job opening.
I enjoyed the show cause of those cool twisted dark scenes with the devil and demons etc. but the high school scenes are very cliché. I'd pleasantly surprised how dark things get, I wasn't expecting that from a Netflix series.

Episode 5 - So the point where she "seals" the demon in a vase was all in their heads a shared dream state before being separated into their singular nightmares, this entire episode isn't about the nightmares themselves, it's about showing us their inner fears and it extorts that to show their biggest flaws and this episode is really there to break down these characters for the next six episodes, I got it quite easily, however the performance of the Demon was very iffy, it didn't terrify me, which I think that was the point but honestly it reminded me of an 80s horror villian that was all the way cheesy. However I really liked the nightmare sequences, I think they were interestingly made and the intertwining at the end is probably the best part for me. My favorite nightmare was Ambrose's, the weaker of the nightmares was probably Sabrina honestly, that was probably the laziest of the four. :)
Honestly I loved this series, it's up there with Evil Dead (original and the remake.) It has that comedy/creeper vibe that I love in horror and I'll probably watch the rest in due time but I didn't sleep for watching this show lol.

I just made a "bestiary/beastiality" joke this morning! (I got a Supernatural Bestiary book for Christmas based on the SPN tv show.)
Unpopular opinion I know, but I don't like Allison. Scott/Kira for me... though seeing as I'm also a slash fan and can ship non canon pairings I also like Scott/Isaac.
Teen Wolf could be dorky sometimes (and cringey in season 1) but it was fun and it had heart and the characters could really move you - looking at you Stiles. Stiles was everything. He made the show. Heart and humour. That's why 6b was the hardest to get through. I just watch Stiles and Stiles and Derek humour videos all the time.

Harvey actually accidentally calls Sabrina 'Sab' once in the TV show, the Valentine's Day episode of season one. He made a big heart with arts and crafts for her that said: Happy Valentine's Day Sabrina! But the sides of the heart were uneven and Harvey loves symmetry, so he kept cutting it smaller and smaller until the shape was perfect. Unfortunately, that left the text: Happy Val Day Sab. He tries to play it cool, saying he thought Sab would be a cool nickname. Sabrina is utterly disturbed by this, Then he confesses the fuck up but says it's the same reason why he loves her face, because it's very symmetrical (this still leaves an awkward adorable grin on her face, but she likes the sentiment)

Oh this is filled to the brim with references like that. Principal Hawthorn, for example, refers to Judge Hawthorn of the trials; also the lawyer, Daniel Webster is in reference to the short story “The Devil and Daniel Webster”. Also, “Dr. Saperstein” And “tannis” are mentioned, referencing “Rosemary’s Baby”.
