Love this idea. I teach grade 6. I tried it out. The kids really enjoyed the game. I extended the distance the runners had to go. Made them run about 1 and 1/4 laps. Just running one lap, the runner was scoring practically every time.

Good game. The kids were challenged to think ahead about where the closest base might be, etc. I extended the distance between the bases as well, depending on the age. Having a line to kick stinks though---lots of inactivity. I'll try to figure out something that will avoid that. Great use of the video style.

Thanks @clark clark! Ideally, if you have the space for it, you can have multiple games going on (which reduces wait time). I also try to use the wait time for students to complete self/peer-assessment work. Happy Teaching! 🙌

So if every runner gets to go and they score isn't it counterintuitive to keep score since every runner will score eventually? I'm a bit confused as on build two and three you state that they keep going until every runner has gone. How do they get out?
    Thanks!

I like the illustration program you use when explaining games. What program is that?

This is excellent, thank you. On builds 2 & 3, do the fielding players get the running players "out" when they land on a stop space? Or do the players go back to the last space every time? Not clear on this element. Thank you.

Hi Carleen! They just go back to the last spot they touched. Happy Teaching!
