Inspired by a late-night stop at a gas station after a concert, "Tankstation" captures the lonely ambiance reminiscent of the 80s Miami Vice soundtrack. The lyrics reflect solitude and the peacefulness of sleepless nights. Maaike and I sang the duet’s melody together. The result is a romantic lullaby with a melancholic undertone.
The accompanying video clip is a little road movie-like, featuring tired young people in the backseat of a car.
