this album is utterly brilliant. from beginning to end. this man is music.
Only saw him one 2 years ago in Manchester UK; I can't wait for him to come back here as the theatre was small, it was intimate, he was close to us, he came into the audience to sing TO us, rather than us watching from afar - I loved his music before that, but after wards fell in love with the performer too - even my husband was converted that night. This album is long awaited, it does have the edgy, rawness missing, but its not missing really, it just softened with age, experience and perhaps a broken heart......
Hehehe, well he IS in his mid-fifties; he's not a kid anymore. I think he's grown up a /lot/, and it's showing up in his music. I lost track of him for awhile, and then I started listening to his music again recently. And /man/ did he grow into that voice. I remember wondering what he'd sound like when he finished growing up, and I was right about one thing: His adult voice is MUCH deeper.
And he takes this thing much more seriously than he used to.
FINALLY!!! Seal & Trevor Horn back together. . . Welcome back, Seal.
Seal is still my fav throughout the years! His voice is gorgeous, beautiful and always make my days brighter

I am not one to focus on the lyric but Seal does an excellent job of telling us what he's been going through the last few years. If he plays your town you have to see him live. He is the real deal a true artist and he's got the maestro Trevor Horn back!!!!

great song with such emotional and meaningful lyrics that most of us can relate to at some time or another in our lives.. brought together by Seal's amazing voice and rendition. Absolutely beautiful and haunting.. I really must get tix to see Seal Live.. got so many of his albums and the next sounds like it's another masterpiece if this is anything to go by. As someone says below... Seal has been through a lot in the past few years and this song does seem to tell a story. xx Love your music, Seal. Be forever strong. x

La façon dont Seal pose les mots sur sa musique font ressentir ses profonds tourments, mais c'est tellement beau.
It is so wonderful that Seal expresses his emotions through song. I have fell in love with him ever since his 1994 album, and I can't wait to get this one.
I doubt that will ever happen. But if he can pull the same lightning in a bottle he did with both "System" and "7", let alone the ambition to even go into a studio again, then I think Seal 8 would be definitely one of the best albums of the decade.

It feels like he pours his heart into his songs. He captures a feeling be it that of lost love, a longing in ones heart etc and it's like you feel the same as what he's singing. I don't know many artists who do that. Seal you are amazing!

Wait, what? How's it irrelevant? Dunno about you, but I totally appreciate his looks as much as I appreciate his singing. (Although not so much when I was younger -- I thought he was sort-of cute when he was younger, but some weird shit happened to him as he got older, like he grew into his size and voice and magic, suddenly he's sexy. lol

I've been a SEAL fan for many years and have seen him many times in concert...I like this song, but I must be honest here. My favorite cd is Human Beings and his cd with Crazy. There is a bit of rawness, edge that I am missing.
