    Ed Mylett
Ed Mylett decided from a very young age that since he would have to work in life, he might as well work for himself and call his own shots. He realized right away that he was not going to spend his life working for someone else and building their dreams. With these thoughts in mind as well as the information he talks about in this video, he built his financial advising business from nothing to a net worth of over $400 million.

Im 43 , had a breakdown at 38, full melt, stopped functioning long story short.
I dug my way out of that, came to realization my job was a huge trigger to my demise.
I made myself a promise to never end up back in that place and fully changed my trade to something i enjoy , spent a long time studying, to get there , but today im a much better person for it .
I made conscious choices to do what i did which was really difficult, and scary takeing that leap
I watched alot of vids like this one , to push me in the right direction , i just needed to get motivated to change , im really proud of myself for takeing that risk and backing myself.
My new job is more satisfying and it pays better 😃

I was a very sick for nearly 40 years, at the age of 37 I lost the ability to walk from Multiple Sclerosis. I was so stressed out and overwhelmed with life. Then at age 44, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I needed to do something about the stress from my negative thinking....always wondering what else is going to go wrong. Then I had my big ah-ha moment, when I realized that I have thoughts but I'm not my thoughts. Sixteen months later I was healthy with no medicine or cane. The mind can heal or harm you.

Thoughts are not the absolute truth, they are limited. I am the observer of my thoughts. I am consciousness. The one who sees through the eyes doesn't change.

@@Petermaguire3684 you can maybe check joe dispenza's work? I think the commenter escaped from the victim mentality and his victim identity, he started to choose his thoughts, feelings intentionally according to his intention which is being healthy etc. consistently and over a period of time he's healed? Also it looks like he internalized strongly he's not his thoughts but the observer of the thoughts and that is a game changer

@@user-ic5xl3bk5u, @petermaguire I was completely identified with my thoughts. After watching this video I realized my lack of self-worth and confidence lays in the promises I make to myself. I always set unattainable goals which, unfulfilled, lead to disappointment and blaming myself of my incompetence. A while ago I started to exercise the gratitude for everything I do, to appreciate every little thing I manage to do. With this new piece of information in my mind, I'm even more aware and oriented towards a reasonable change. Thank you!

I used pain and anger as my driving force to become better in track my senior year in high school. I also knew that I didn't want to use anger and hate to drive me for the rest of my live.
So, I used love and a vow to make sure my younger brothers would have everything they need t succeed unlike my upbringing to help push me through college.
Fast forward to today and after a ton of self development avenues, I am currently in a situation in my business where I feel as if I am going nowhere fast and I want to resort to that same hatred to drive me since it seemed like my why wasn't working even though I know deep down that is not the answer.
Well, after watching this video I see clearly that I need to go back to the driving board and find that compelling reason to keep going and don't resort to that hatred from various experiences that I still have because it isn't healthy.

The words in motivational videos only hit you when you actually want it. And the more you want something the easier it is to get motivated. If you don't want something enough you won't feel any drive ever.

    1. Focus on gratitude
    2. Keep your promises that you make to yourself.
    3. Stay consistent with how you want to define yourself.
    4. Find big reasons that will motivate you to push through the struggles in life.
This is the same as every other motivational speaker says. He's basically just took what Tony Robbins taught first and talked about it.

    2 Motivators:
    - There's the gaining of pleasure, wanting to go get something, chasing the dream.
    - Then there's the avoidance of pain and for a lot of champions, that's a pretty big driving force for them.
So at least for me I leverage both of those things on me to get myself to take action.
So that's what that means to me.

Never said you don’t “need” money. He’s thinking bigger than money, what’s your real why? Is it really to make 1 million dollars? Or to have the life that 1 million dollars brings? It’s all perspective and that isn’t taking away from the fact that we all have to serve others to serve ourselves financially
