Sold my GPX and mained the DAV3 8k ever since. The mouse has been superb and made me come back to DA again after such a long time. Build quality is solid, coating feels better than the GPX, clicks are extremely spammable, side buttons are superb and i have no problems with the rather stiff cable after hooking it up to a bungee. Super happy with my purchase and i can see myself maining this mouse for a foreseeable future.
this is kind of going to be a semi-off topic comment but i gotta say you are by far one of my favorite reviewers. like i just found you today and you're content is like exactly for me. like you mean to tell me not only do you do mouse and mousepad reviews which is one of my favorite niche hobbies, but you also do IEM reviews particularly reviewed for their sound in game (which is even more niche) like damn S tier channel in my books
Forgot to mention that I'm noticing flexing on my DAV3, which is annoying considering what I paid for it. I really like the art and colorway of the new one. But I'm considering getting the 8k model, for the better build and coating, and because I'm tired of always having to charge mine. And for all of us subbers, thanks for the informative and timely reviews. We appreciate ya!
the wire on the 8k version is pretty bad. It's decently flexible but very heavy. I can feel it messing up my aim all the time unless i route it along my arm and bind it to my ellbow. I'm definetly going to paracord it. I had to order a new paracord cable because the DAV3 has a different internal connector and for 8khz it's better if the cable is shorter. But other than the stock wire the mouse is great. The 8khz feels like having negative latency after using 1khz or 2khz.
@@Katze822228 I heard or read somewhere that the DA 8k's cable has to be heavier, unlike with normal mouse cables, in order to transmit the 8k signal. I may be wrong, but I think some of that weight is shielding. However, I do know that, using the DAV3 in wired mode with the paracord cable that it comes with, the mouse will work only at a 1k polling rate. You may find that to be the result of switching out the cable for a paracord one. BTW, have you tried using a bungee with your mouse? I have the Viper 8k and a Zowie bungee which, along with a trick recommended by randomfrankp involving a cable tie, works really well.
@@SpideyDiG It lifts the cable up from the mat and significantly lessens the weight of the cable. I'll see if if I can find his suggestion and send you the link to his video.
Fantastic review, appreciate you noticing the difference on grip levels. Not something I would expect picking colors. Especially as I was a bit hesitant due to not playing faker’s game myself. Definitely going for red now though!
@@FreshReviewsYT I am not sure about your “feeling” it is diferent from wired DAV 3. (no offence) The Razer representatives confirmed it is the same coating if I remember correctly in some reddit thread. It may be just placebo. I HAVE to agree the wired DAV 3 coating is sick from my own experience and I've felt constantly in love with it. Some user commented it becomes even more grippy with more sweat. I can 100% confirm this statement backed with my own experince. It also feels super solid in comparison with wireless DAV 3 Pro and I have to agree with the more responsive main clicks and slightly improved side buttons. That mouse is a masterpiece. Right now as typing I am using the wireless black DAV 3 Pro black version and I have to say it is not as good as wired version. To be honest the wired in my book will be always superior. I took a chance with the wired DAV 3 and it payed off incredibly well. This mouse should sell like a cake IMO. It is truly that insanely good. For the price it is 120% steal.

Hello, Fresh. I use EC1 Tyloo and like smooth coating (red color my favorite). I want buy DA v3 Faker or DA v3 Wired but price of Faker edition kill me :( I play in CS:GO and i have question: coating better on wired version or faker (wired ver. = zowie mice?); clicks better on wired version or faker? Thanks!
what skates would you recommended for the dav3 on your superglide pad. I have a superglide pad aswell and ordered a dav3 yesterday :D So maybe youve tried some and can give me a recommendation :)
So, is the grip something in between regular DAV3 PRO and DAV3 Wired? I've got regular DAV3 PRO White and its superb mouse, but I can't stand the coating, it gets very slippery after like an hour of gaming, which doesn't happen when im using GPX for example. Can't stand the cable neither, so now im thinking of upgrading to Faker Edition, just to get the better grip overall.
I had an issue on my white copy od dav3pro with sidecreak and scrollwheel that can be stack between the steps. Did they fixed these issues on faker edition?

Is the wired one better? I dunno much about mice imagine the wire helps with latency and interference thry both look nice. Im trying to figure out a setup.
the wired version has objectively better specs, but it's not something you'll notice a lot IRL. The coating though, is just simply out of this world. If you don't mind the wire, or you dislike being mindful of your battery level, or simply want to save money, the wired version is great.

kinda sucks grip tape is not included. I guess they probably would have tacked even more to have faker themed grip tape included.
It's sad to hear that Faker edition's coating is not identical to DAVE wied. I've recently experienced wired Dave and I absolutely love its coating.
