Band BIO:
Lovebites is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup consists of Miho on bass, Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year.
FUN FACTS about band:
- Although hailing from Tokyo, Lovebites' music is heavily influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal which led their music to be compared to Iron Maiden and Rage
- The group frequently collaborates with former Light Bringer keyboardist Mao on composing and arranging songs.
- Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen
- Miyako has played classical piano since she was three and guitar since high school

Thank you for the bold statement. I totally agree, Asami is in a class of her own …. In this genre. Floor Jansen is arguably a more rounded vocalist, but to be able to perform for the best part of two hours with such power is astonishing to me. In a sane world Lovebites would be a household name and Asami recognised for the talent she is. Years of singing Jazz and RnB prepared her for this, and she’s proof that being power metal vocalist is up there as probably the most demanding of any genre… metal or otherwise.
Great opening for their concert “Five of a Kind” Tokyo 2020. Great song, great performers. The whole concert is great. Got the Blu-ray. Hope to see them live once. Thank you for this reaction.

The joy and appreciation you show over the Lovebites videos is a sure sign of being in the Wolfpack. There is so much more for you to discover. Really digging the editing on your vids. They look great.... and always make me laugh.
I love everything about this group. their incredible talent of mucisien from the drummer to the singer, the musical influences, Metallica for this one, Gary Moore for Epilogue, Maiden for the Crusader, Savatage for Shadowmaker (the riff is very similar to the song Jesus save), or even the hard rock of the years 80 with Burden of time. But they also have their own style with a song like a frozen serenade or breaking the wall, and its incredible break in the middle of the solos, Dystopia Symphony from the last EP. These girls are just amazing and certainly the most gifted musicians girls around.

It wasn't enough for me! I would still listen .I have heard somewhere the expression that the tone of the voice is the color of the soul. The soloist has a deep tone, rich, beautiful!

miyako, black-haired guitarist, graduated from the piano department of music high school, entered educational university, and started playing the guitar alone. meanwhile, midori entered pharmacy university but she gradually stopped attending university, she dropped out of university at the age of 20, and she began studying guitar at music school. miyako, who is supposed to be a teacher, and midori, who is supposed to be a pharmacist, have become the best female guitarists in Japan.
With this band is very simple: They don’t have weak’s songs…. The best actually in the metal scene for me.
