ive unironically used a mac keyboard for like 10 years because i find it comfortable af and the keys are extremely thin so i barely have to lift my fingers. also i can drag my finger between 1 and 2 so i can rod quickly. makes it a lot faster than having to lift up my finger every time and not hit the edges of the keys

The Magic Mouse is the definition of letting designers make a product by themselves. I actually do have one that I never use and it’s the model that uses AA batteries (which might make it even heavier idk)
For real I’m surprised nobody complained at apple

I use a Glorious Model I with my PC for gaming and also have a Logitech Teal Maze M317 as a backup when my Apple mouse needs a battery replacement

Fun fact: if you use the mouse on a Mac, pressing the button of the mouse and the control key on the keyboard automatically makes a left click turn into a right click. this also works for any mouse connected to the Mac including the trackpad.
Yea, i used to use mac to play a few years back and i used control for sneak and not being able to break blocks while sneaking was cancer
when i was on mac i could get up to 25 cps butterfly clicking on left click and normal clicking on right click using that (i normally butterfly ~15).

To be fully honest I think that apple’s mouse and other accessories are aimed toward the ergonomic feel of the mouse, even though it does look uncomfortable, it probably has some of its good features too probably not the best choice for gaming but a good choice for just office etc
Its 80 dollars you can get like 10 better office mice
i used it at my relative's house and ergonomically it still sucks more than a bj video on the hub that you find on the "Recommended for you" page
My dad got the magic keyboard and mouse for his work macbook and he returned that in less than a week for a proper Windows work setup. I thought people were over exaggerating how bad Apple’s computer peripherals were, but they are somehow even worse than that.
It’s not ergonomic at all, it is so uncomfortable
that terrible excuse for a mouse is the most uncomfortable shit ive ever tried in my entire life i wouldnt even use it for free let alone 80$ (for 30$ you can get 2 mice that are better in every way possible)

Oh, so I have used one of the Magic Mice before and it has an integrated scroll wheel. This means that it is digital, but the feature only works on Mac OS.

I actually used both the Magic mouse and keyboard for a long time on my Mac (which I still use for gaming) and I had to disable the scroll wheel as spam clicking would inevitably trigger the scroll "wheel" causing you to swap to another hotbar slot, which lost me many fights, made me fail many bridges, and even holding down right click or left click was risky.
The keyboard was fine, and I had no complaints about it whatsoever, in fact, some of the special functions on it I actually miss on my new mechanical keyboards. The slim profile is advantageous in some situations and for some people, but I do prefer my mechanical keyboards far more than what I used to have just for the feel of them.
Anyways, the Magic Mouse is one of the worst possible mice you can get for gaming. It's not a bad mouse, it just sucks for gaming

I'm a Mac user and I found this video really interesting to watch! You made a lot of really good points that I'd like to add a bit of my own input to.
Some quick disclaimers before the essay:
• I had typed this all typed before I accidentally closed the tab, which deleted all my progress. My writing is probably gonna be quick and possibly a bit harsh cause I’m still a bit annoyed about me being a bit clumsy lol
• I have never properly used Windows before. This isn't really by choice though, since I don't have the means of switching to Windows or buying a setup other than the iMac that I've been stuck with for the longest time lol. And since it's an iMac, which came with the keyboard and mouse, I didn't initially have a choice when it came to what I'd use. So yes, this is definitely biased, but please hear me out at least lol
MAGIC MOUSE
I agree with you, this mouse is complete garbage for playing Minecraft. Its weird shape, heavy clicks, and inability to both left and right click at the same time make it an absolute pain in the arse to use. However, it is possible to defend the design of it. Apple mostly caters towards specialized professionals, such as graphic designers and video editors (scrolling around in the video timeline). In this area of work, you tend to scroll around a lot. I know you weren't able to test the mouse's scrolling ability out (come on Apple, how hard is it to make the mouse scroll on Windows?), but in these situations that I mentioned previously, the trackpad feel of the mouse make it extremely easy to navigate to where you need to be. It kinda makes the experience more seamless, which is usually Apple's goal I guess. However, the design doesn't help when playing Minecraft.
You had it really easy on Windows; since the scrolling didn't work, you couldn't accidentally scroll on it. On mac, the scroll sensitivity is extremely high (turning it down all the way still doesn't help) There were countless times where I couldn’t get a bed in Bedwars because I would accidentally scroll away from my pickaxe while mining obsidian and get killed. God, the pain. I still feel it three years later. You can tell that the magic mouse definitely doesn’t cater towards Minecrafters.
On the other hand, the battery life is phenomenal. This kinda makes up for the weird placement of the charger (which hasn’t really been a problem for me because of the absurdly long battery life lmao)
Besides these points I wanted to add, I agree with most of what you said about the mouse. It’s god awful for Minecraft, so I’m glad that I was able to get a conventional mouse for my computer lmfao
TL;DR FOR MOUSE: It was built for people who need to scroll a lot (graphic designers, video editors), not gamers. Which was Apple’s goal all along.
MAGIC KEYBOARD
I can’t really say a lot here since the magic keyboard is really the only keyboard I’ve ever used on a computer ever. I’ve never felt a mechanical keyboard or whatever the other types of keyboards there are. Yes, I know, I’m weird. I’m still good at Bedwars with it though.
Sure, it’s a laptop keyboard, but laptop keyboards aren’t really that bad. I mean, I’m extremely biased here, so I can’t really say much. I guess the points that minemanner brought up in his comment are all valid, since I do still slide my finger between 1 and 2 to switch to and from my fishing rod. I’m so used to the magic keyboard that I would probably choose it over a proper desktop keyboard that I would likely perform better in, simply because I’m used to sliding my fingers across the keyboard.
I can think of a couple downsides to the keyboard. One is that certain multiple keys can’t be held at the same time. A common example of this being a problem for me in Bedwars is when I’m sprint jumping away and I need to press tab to check another player’s health. I simply can’t do this. I have to let go of either [w] or [space] in order to do so. I’ve used the magic keyboard to play Bedwars for four years so I’m used to tapping [space] and holding [tab] in between these jumps, but it’s still a big pain. Reply if you’re confused on what I mean; I’ll link a video example of me doing this.
The other annoying thing about the keyboard is that the [left control] key isn’t directly below the [left shift] key (the [fn] key is). This has led my sprint key to become [r], which is a terrible sprint key. Sure, I use togglesprint, but when I turn that off for when I play parkour gamemodes, it’s an absolute pain. (Some people might reply telling me to use the [fn] key as my sprint key, but in Minecraft 1.12+, Mojang changed it so that [fn] and some other keys can’t be binded. Yes, I mostly play 1.8.9, but I really don’t want to have to change my muscle memory every time I play on the newest version of Minecraft)
Tl;DR FOR KEYBOARD: It’s not bad once you get used to it, you can slide your finger around. Only problem is the placement of some keys and the limit the keyboard places on how many keys you can hold at the same time.
AIRPODS
Honestly surprised you didn’t talk more about these. I once tried playing Bedwars with AirPods before and it was terrible. I know the latency on AirPods are so low it’s barely noticeable, but it’s still enough to throw me off when I speedbridge. It might be because I have an older generation of AirPods, but still. I don’t know why anybody would want to use bluetooth headsets or earbuds for video games. Still angry about the removal of the headphone jack on iPhones.
TL;DR FOR AIRPODS: Bluetooth latency sucks
CONCLUSION
I’ll make this short: the mouse is absolutely stupid, the keyboard is fine once you get used to it, and the AirPod’s bluetooth latency is a bit of a personal preference. And this pretty much summarizes my current setup right now: Glorious Model O, Magic Keyboard, and random wired earbuds I found online. Probably the cliche mac gamer’s setup, but it’s really not that bad.
A quick discussion about the price: The mouse and keyboard are overpriced because people buying it from these locations generally are buying them as replacements for the ones that came with their mac computer. Of course Apple is gonna overprice them. Annoying, but it’s not like they’re expecting Windows users to buy their periphials. And the AirPods… yeah I guess there’s a bit of a fashion sense to them. But then again, most people in the United States use an iPhone and AirPods are the best earbuds for the iPhone. It’s all a part of the ©Apple Ecosystem™®
I really hope you read this, or at least someone else. If there are any other mac gamers out there, please reply with your own opinions. I have no idea why I spent an hour of my life writing this comment, but it’s fun to make your voice heard lol
Overall, great video Intel! I feel like you overdid the “elitism” stereotype for Apple users (since this description was kinda forced upon Apple users by Apple themself), but of course I can’t really say this and expect to be taken seriously. Besides this, I really enjoy your content, this one being no exception!

I´d like to add that there are some driver issues with the mouse and keyboard on windows as my friend told me. He wasn´t able to click numbers and function keys at the same time and this obviously kinda sucks you know? Furthermore the keyboard, the mouse and the airpods are just terrible overprized

Avoid M1 Macs:
The SSDs contain weird hidden volumes that are PAIRED to the FIRMWARE, so IF THE SSD DIES, THE MAC WON'T TURN ON.
It won't even chime, you can't even boot to an external drive!
Btw it's BGA soldered so good luck replacing it!

I used to play mineplex (back when it was alive) on a mac using their mouse and keyboard. I hated the mouse so I binded my left click to the “E” key. Worked like a charm.

I feel like this would be silghtly better (with the exception of the mouse) if it was on Mac. I'm pretty sure AirPods on Mac have less delay bc of the ecosystem and how the chips work together. You'd also be able to block hit bc on most of Apple's Macs, you right click by pressing control bc command is like the control key on PC.
While it would be more expensive by a lot, I think it would be interesting.

Apple is pretty decent in phones and computers especially with m1. It is now safe to say price to performance is good and with an m1 MacBook Air it is good. But the apple mouse, buying that and using it willingly is the stupidest thing you can do unless it's a challenge since there are far more comfortable and more useful mice for a lot cheaper

10:55 probably due to low ips, Inch-Per-Second is an indicator of how fast can you move your mouse before it lose its ability to track.
The apple mouse experience is what I was using for a long time and enjoy the pain of falling off bridges and losing every pvp game (if you had my skill level)
the keyboard isn’t that bad it’s surprisingly comfy and thin but during my 1-150 stars in bed wars i’ve been using that mouse and was used to it until i got another mouse and then i realized the mouse was horrible

I’ve gone through the pain of regularly having an apple setup. I don’t usually use max headphones or apple AirPods but I do use the apple mouse the extended version of the apple keyboard and I’m using a mac

I’ve been using a cheaper flat mouse, surprisingly, it’s really good for combos since all of the clicks register. It fits my hand better, not sure why.

If you're on mac, you can turn on right click on the mouse with using left click on the same time.
