Day 4 on ICON OF THE SEAS - A SKY SAFARI ZIPLINE in ST KITTS \ Do We Recommend This Excursion?

Join us as we embark on ‪@RoyalCaribbean‬'s Icon of the Seas out of the Port of Miami for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. This was for Spring Break 2024 and we left on March 23, 2024.
This vlog covers our first port day on the cruise which was the island of St. Kitts. This was our first time visiting this Caribbean island.
We booked the "A Sky Safari Zipline" excursion through Royal Caribbean. This seems to be a very popular excursion. It was sold out for over a year before our sailing. I would check every so often and finally, about a month before we sailed, 3 spots opened up. So if you are remotely interested in this excusion, book it. You can also cancel later if you decide not to do it.
I was concerned if Rider would enjoy this. We showed him videos beforehand and he was very excited. However, as we saw with Crown's Edge, he can be very excited about something, but then get too nervous or scared when it comes to actually doing it. I did think he would love it, but the challenge was getting him to try the first line. He did and really wasn't that nervous as the staff was excellent and made it a lot of fun for him and after the first zipline, he was all in.
There are 5 ziplines in total, including the first test line. This was pretty short, but I still recommend it. Make sure to bring cash to tip the bus driver and the guides. And if you want to take pictures with the monkeys afterwards, most of these vendors charge $10/per person.
All in all, I was so happy with this excursion and would absolutely recommend it.

A Sky Safari Zipline Overview

- Depart from the pier.
- Take a short ride to the historic Wingfield Estate where your spectacular 4-zipline adventure takes place.
- Listen to a short orientation and training session.
- Hop into a Land Rover for the trek up the famous Valley of the Giants, where you may encounter monkeys frolicking among the wild fruit trees.
- Take in the panoramic views of Brimstone Hill National Fortress, Old Road Village, the Caribbean Sea, and Mount Liamuiga en route to your first zipline.
- Sit back and enjoy the bird’s eye view as you glide, up to 1,400 feet across, using the most technologically advanced zipline equipment in the world; this system utilizes a cutting edge four point paragliding harness, hands free braking, and a patented Skyline Trolley and Catch-Block System.
- Zip across valleys and over a stream, through tunnels of vegetation to your landing point.
- Enjoy amazing views of the rainforest below and the coastline in the distance; novice and experienced adventurers will be thrilled with this high-flying experience!
NOTES
Minimum age is 6 years.
Minimum weight is 60 lbs; maximum weight is 275 lbs (strictly enforced).
Expectant mothers and guests with neck/back injuries or heart/respiratory conditions are not permitted on this excursion.
Closed-toe shoes are required.
Guests must fit into helmet and harness in a safe manner.
