I really enjoyed this video Phil. We are here for most of April and I fish Swan and the main lake up to the dam a lot. I've been catching a lot of beautiful crappie in the area you were in here, just off the drop off. Yesterday it was slow in that area so I decided to work the main lake toward the dam for a while. I was trolling the far bank (across from Forsyth) toward the dam, pulling an Alabama rig and the BIG white bass tore me up. I forget how hard those fish fight. They almost tear the rod out of your hands when they hit. I enjoy your videos.
On Taney? Honestly I don’t like trolling especially on Taneycomo with the water running. It’s not effective at all. We do drag hard baits on the bottom in current. That works.
@@PhilLilley Yes on Taney. At the landing and lower. We've caught many trout over the years trolling about a 2.5" minnow lure. My buddy hooked up a trophy brown a couple years ago just below Roark Creek trolling. He didn't have a net and ended up losing it because he couldn't get it into the pontoon. Huge fish! Huge. You'd think he would've learned his lesson and buy a net but no.
Like the change up!!
Thank you for coming to Forsyth!

Can you do some trolling?
