I find your pride and love for the Queen endearing. I am a Minnesotan and an American and I can say that I don't have that pride in my country's leader(s). I have always loved hearing about the Queen. And bowed my head at her passing. I loved her hats!! I actually have a dark blue vintage hat that I bought for a costume for one of my kids, but it reminded me of the Queen so I kept it and sits on top of my necklace tree in homage to her!! I love the heritage of the UK. I'm Irish, German and Norwegian and know little about my ancestry, but watching you and Andy find all the historical pictures and memorabilia has taught me so much more than our history books here.

The bunker reminded me of the old 2-man Cold War monitoring stations that keep going up for sale and getting plastered on local news sites. In the event of a nuclear attack, they’d relay information back to larger bunkers like the one in York so the government (or what was left) could work out radiation levels and things. The Royal Observer Corps manning them were all volunteers and the bunkers weren’t really built for survival. Give a month max or working back-to-back monitoring the situation and then it was “Right, out we go otherwise the air’ll run out.” Just left to whatever remained. The paper that's burnt out was possibly for checking the light from the initial blast so they could triangulate where any potential bomb hit. Some poor bugger had to go out and get it right after the blast before natural light ruined it like you saw. Pretty grim. The main York one was decommissioned in 1991 but they were running drills until then.

Another great one Matt :) John Miller was a clockmaker from Kilwinning in Ayrshire in the 19th century so that clock made a bit of a hike. Maybe Mr Miller just made the clock faces and inner workings and then someone local made the case for it as often happened. The cotters Saturday night is a poem by Rabbie burns. If I remember rightly the little pendant thing with Cancer/Capricorn on it was from petrol stations in the 1970's .. maybe not right on the petrol stations but defo 1970's. The ceramic beaker of the Marquis of Stafford was to celebrate his 21st birthday, he became the 5th Duke of Sutherland in 1913. :) x

This house made me nervous for you, I was so worried about you on those floors. I'm glad that you read the entire letter in the beginning of the video - letter writing has all but disappeared and I for one greatly lament that. The letter was such a beautiful look back to our fading Histories. Also, Jim Reeves (the records you found) was an American Country music singer who was a BIG star in the 1950's - 1970's and a regular on the Grand Ole Opry. He was nicknamed "Gentleman Jim" as supposedly he was quite the good, kind, respectful man!!! As an American AND a lifelong Country music fanatic I was pleasantly surprised to see his albumns in a cottage in Scotland!! Anyway, keep up the great work - I appreciate it and I know Andy does too. I really liked the last room with the matching furniture! I think that the table in the previous room would fit in with that furniture. I also liked the grandfather clock. I also really loved that really old travel trunk in the last room! I do believe those slats in the trunk were for hanging slacks. Reminds me of the ones in the movie White Christmas. Bear running around after the rabbits was funny. Were you sure that the foot in the ceiling was from a rabbit? I thought it was a cat foot because of the fact that there was so much cat food. Great explore but you had me worried about your health, especially when you actually went through the floor! Stay safe! Love from New Jersey, USA!
