No it is not. There are no apostasy laws in Egypt and the Egyptian authorities returned more Christian girls that converted to Islam to get away from bad marriages, then allowing them to convert. Let be truthful here
Ever thought of having Dr. Jay Smith from Pfander films on to talk about Islam? The only person in the world with a Doctorate in Islamic polemics I believe
I am from Egypt and from Nubia, and my birthplace is in Egypt, from a village called Abu Simbel, meaning that I and my family are of Egyptian descent. My question to you is why do you lie to people, knowing that the richest family in Egypt is a Christian family and there is no coercion in Egypt to enter the Islamic religion?
Mmmmm ... not the most scholarly discussion. Seems much more about personal and modern experiences rather than the indicated historical transition. Muslims didn't even become the majority of Egypt (or Syria) until 300-500 years after the Muslims took over (which means it was a slow and non-violent process). Using modern day actions of secular dictators and their economically/politically depressed regimes seem duplicitous. I recommend reading Thomas Arnold's "The Spread of Islam in the World" to get the varied reasons of why people converted to Islam across various Islamic polities in the pre-modern world. And just read other books. There are plenty of historical examples of Christians and their communities living their own peaceful lives under Islamic rule and thriving and rising in the ranks across the 1400 years of Muslims rule. Yes, there is the Armenian genocide, which was an atrocity, but the general rule and way across time and geographies was not that. Again, read, read, and then read some more.
Sorry, but the term "so fast" is inaccurate Islamization of Egypt was a long process Till 14 th centery The majority of inhabitants of Egypt were copt Till heavy wave of destruction of churchs and killing of Christians. The upper Egypt population in 60th for example constitutes 70 to 60% Coptic citizen N.B. I earned my coptic studies diploma about 13 years ago
Well, that's just a lie and misleading Because when the Muslims, led by Amr ibn al-Aas, entered Egypt, their number was only 5,000 soldiers, while the number of Coptic Egyptians at that time was 2 million people. How were 5,000 able to force 2 million to leave their religion by force? In fact, the Coptic Egyptians were the ones who helped the Muslims enter Egypt to liberate them from the oppression of the Byzantines who were oppressing the Egyptians.Because they were of a different sect, the Pope of the Church of Alexandria fled persecution When Amr ibn al-Aas came, he returned to the Pope his churches and the church’s property. He also appointed Christians to the government. This is the words of the Egyptian priests and popes themselves. Research for yourself to confirm my words. Most of the churches that were built in Egypt were during the Islamic rule.
Egypt became officially Christian under the reign of Emperor Theodosius I (379-395 AD), who made Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire in 380 AD. Theodosius issued decrees that prohibited pagan practices, and by the late 4th century, many traditional Egyptian religious practices were suppressed. Pagan temples were often destroyed, and the old polytheistic beliefs gradually disappeared.
@@JS-vj1il again By the 4th century, under the reign of the Roman Emperor Constantine, Christianity became the dominant religion in Egypt, especially with the establishment of Alexandria as a major centre of Christian learning and influence.

Why are the sources for all of this? - Most academics agree that the sources support the claim that Egypt remained a Christian majority until the 13th century (500+ years after its takeover by the Arabs), with some arguing that it continued until the 14th century. However, it’s important to note that this transition was not rapid. At the time of the Arab invasion, the entire Arab population was comparable to the population of a medium-sized to large city. Egypt was a major country with a population that was significantly larger than the population of the Gulf of Arabia. It’s logically impossible to believe that early Muslims were able to displace or replace the anyone since they were clearly the minority in their empire (some estimates suggest that their population was less than 4% by the end of the 8th century).
Hhhh just do a google search bro about the incidents that happened to the Coptic population in Egypt on the last 30 years and you will find that this guy is telling the truth

Yeah the religious people of so called peace, are not so peaceful and loving towards other religions hmmm who’d of thunk it.
Actually it took up to 1200s to 1400s until Christians was overtaken, but up until 900s to 1000s egypt is still majority Christian
because the persecution increased incredibly after the crusade
Over 500 years after the Arab invasion, half of Egypt's population were Christians. Let's compare this to the mercy and tolerance shown in the "conquests" of the Americas, Philippines, Africa and southern Spain.
I have been following Pastor Andrew for a while ago and he is one of my favorites bold and courageous preachers. Thank you Ruslan for having this interview👏🏻🙌🏻
finally someone talk about what happens to Coptic Christians in Egypt
iam Coptic and proud
Thank you Ruslan for highlighting the persecuted Church, I’m going to go to his Church in Sydney.
Bravo Ruslan! You have a very charming personality and topic you cover are awesome!
This guy is talking bullshit, Egypt literally remained predominantly christian and coptic language was spoken as 1st language up till 12th century
So after the arabs conquest by 500-600 years if it was by force it would have been way faster than that
Also you can look at spain, portugal and sicily these all were ruled by arabs for over 500 years and no one was forced to convert

No it is not. There are no apostasy laws in Egypt and the Egyptian authorities returned more Christian girls that converted to Islam to get away from bad marriages, then allowing them to convert. Let be truthful here
I am from Egypt and this is true

very interesting testimony🙏
I am from Egypt and from Nubia, and my birthplace is in Egypt, from a village called Abu Simbel, meaning that I and my family are of Egyptian descent. My question to you is why do you lie to people, knowing that the richest family in Egypt is a Christian family and there is no coercion in Egypt to enter the Islamic religion?
Brother try to understand what he is saying these proplem happen
Mmmmm ... not the most scholarly discussion.
Sorry, but the term "so fast" is inaccurate
Islamization of Egypt was a long process
Till 14 th centery
The majority of inhabitants of Egypt were copt
Till heavy wave of destruction of churchs and killing of Christians.
The upper Egypt population in 60th for example constitutes 70 to 60% Coptic citizen

It's lies
God less you. It is a responsibility that lies upon every free person to speak the truth. Brave of you Andrew

Egypt was Christian long before that.

As an Egyptian atheist from coptic Orthodox's background, I disagree with many of the statements that you said.
But I agree with you in that point related to discrimination against Christians in Egypt. I know that preaching is criminal in Egypt.
And you couldn't build a church easily beside many other discriminations that any other minority faces here in Egypt
Even we atheists in Egypt couldn't declare our ideas to society easily.

0:58 through violence? i really encourage all the viewers to read the book "synaxarium" that written by the coptic church in Egypt by the Christians themselves that recording all these events since the islamic conquest , the roman empire ages and even before, you can literally see how barb, aric was the roman empire with the church fathers and the coptic Christians back to that time , and you can also see how was the islamic authorities under "amr ebn alAas" treating them after the conquest that this man with glasses up there say "the violance against the coptic" ,for example you can literally read in the book 《Amr ibn al-as sent a letter to pope Benjamin | through sanathius to return to his seat as pope of coptic church. Amr restored the churches and gave them the right to worship in their churches》.(synaxarium | the return of pope Benjamin) . When this man up there claims that the islamic conquest was attempting "violation" against the coptic Egyptians while the copics themselves in their books saying completely the opposite , then we can say this person's talk up there is all a PURE LIES

There's two types of idolaters:
1- type one : a man living off grid have no access to any scripture whatsoever, and he decided- out of ignorance-to worship a mango tree 🎄 , cause it produces delicious mango.
2- type two: a man have all the access to the scripture, but he decided to worship a man who declared that he can do NOTHING by himself [[ John 5:30 ]] , prayed to THE FATHER [[ Matt 26:39]] , and denied deity in public [[ john10:30_35]] , and the man declared that [[ THE ONLY TRUE GOD IS THE FATHER ]] [[ john17:3]].
Type two idolaters is basically a hopeless case .

Who did Copts convert to Christianity by force?
Eastern Europeans be like😮😂
Wow 98 percent Coptic! What’s the other 2%? Lol
