This video is a game changer for me! Thank you so much! I've been trying to get my logo design embroidered as a patch and I hit wall after wall after wall but following this video got my first clean patch!
I’m so glad I found your videos!! I’ve been struggling trying to get the hang of this software! I’ve seen a few that helped me download but you actually showed me how to use it! & in such a simple way! Thank you for sharing!
This tutorial was fantastic. I haven't had a chance to run my design yet on my Brother SE600, but this was such an amazing tutorial to follow along too. I kept referring back to it as I was digitizing my design. Thank you so much for posting this!!!
I'm 100% new to this. Haven't even opened my Brother SE1900 first 5 min of your video I paused to write this silly comment and take a note for research 😂 learning there are satin stitches which mean there's also other types of stitches lol. I better be takin' notes😂.
Wow. This is really a no bullshit, concise, descriptive, short video. Even with the new version of Inkscape this video is still easy to follow. Amazing video!!!
wow!!! im a latina en i dont understand a lot of english, but your explication its so good i relly liked and i want more videos because i reccently have a one brother se600 and i dont understand the programs and you explication it helped me a lot :))))
Is there a rough guideline for what size you should be using a fill, a satin, and a stroke pattern for? My first digitized designs i believe i had used fill for everything and they turned out like crap.
I created a design in inkscape using inkstich but while printing embroidery it gets stitching on the same place and the machine stops prematurely without giving a complete stitch. Should I change some settings?
Im very confused about how you created the layers. Did the program automatically create the layers for you or did you go in and draw each layer? I'm not sure how to get the layers to appear the way yours do
Hi I created those layers manually. If you don’t have the tab open you can go to the top where it says layer ->click “layers…” that will open the layer tab on your right.
Hello. Great video. How do I change the stitch-length? is that in inksticth or in the embroidery-machine? For instance the stitch length is 1mm or 3mm long. Thanks
Everytime I press comvert to satin stitch, i get an error that says it can only convert simple lines to satin. Im following everything to the T, bah. I dont know where im going wrong
Hey if you still need this I just figured it out ↓ All you need to is go into the Fill and stroke section and select the X option there. For it to convert it needs to only be an outline. :) Hopefully this helps.
very confused. My program looks a bit different. when I go to layers the only option is "layers and objects" and when I click that it looks nothing like yours. I've clicked add layers but that doesn't do anything that looks like yours. also, can't import a regular image it has to be svg format
Usually you use a satin stitch for smaller details or thin lines. For example the outline on most patches is a satin stitch. Satin stitches are stitched In parallel ladder like lines that that give it a satin like shine Hope that helped you understand
Hey, maybe like slow it down a little bit cuz I know that you're obviously good at what you do but the rest of us are not. Thank you! (Edit: it's like you're trying to show us what you're doing, but you already had it pre-populated so it's kind of like____)
Holy cow this tutorial is so good. Thank you. I made a very amateur patch but this has all the answers for taking it to the next level.
I’ve watched so many other tutorials but this one clicked for me. Thank you so much!! I can’t wait to digitize my own designs
This tutorial is the best one I have seen hands down! Total game changer!!!! Thank you so much for doing this!

I’m in the exact same boat!!! I still don’t get it tbh :(

This tutorial is FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much! I mad my first patch with inkscape thanks to you!

You are an absolute lifesaver. I have watched several tutorials and all of them left out the satin stitch!
I know this is an older video, but it was so helpful I had to say, thank you!
Thanks! Clear and concise, just how I like the tutorials :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Fabulous tutorial! First time I’m seeing it. Looking forward to your other videos!
Thank you SO much for this!
Found you on TikTok and very interested in learning this hobby!! Can't wait for more videos! New Sub
Hi! Glad you found embroidery interesting! I’ll definitely be posting more soon
Thank you so much! I made my first embroidered dress!
best ink stitch tutorial so far
I am SO grateful with your tutorial, it's so clear and concise, thank you!
if I may ask, is there any limit to the number of layers you can have?
Thank you for this tutorial!

So happy my video helped !(:
did you set all the paths to dashes? fill n satin? is this required, if so for?
Keep it up, thanks :)
For the top stitch the outline how do I get mine to look so clean? I can’t?
Amazing! Thanks!
Is there a rough guideline for what size you should be using a fill, a satin, and a stroke pattern for?
My first digitized designs i believe i had used fill for everything and they turned out like crap.
Hi! I would say 3/8th to 1/2 of an inch is the widest your satins stitches should ever be unless your working on puff embroidery.
And I would generally try staying away from fills if I’m working on something smaller than 1/2 an inch
My satin stitches never turn out good. They don’t even take a good shape, looks just like a scribble :(
Are you making them too thin? It's best not to go less than a millimetre
I created a design in inkscape using inkstich but while printing embroidery it gets stitching on the same place and the machine stops prematurely without giving a complete stitch. Should I change some settings?
i like u videos please keep uploading videos

can you make a new updated video with the latest version of inkscape?
Hello. Great video. How do I change the stitch-length? is that in inksticth or in the embroidery-machine? For instance the stitch length is 1mm or 3mm long. Thanks
Great question that would be something you adjust on the software. On Inkscape it’s under params under stroke tab ->(running stitch length)
Excuse me I am wondering why did you change the stitches to dash’s what does that change ?
Hi how do i get rid of JUMP STICHES? I do the artwork but the lady with the machine complains of the terrible jump stitches.
Hi as of now I haven’t figured out a way to get rid of jump stitches on ink-stitch. Hopefully they add and update soon
New ink-stitch update coming that will solve this issue hopefully!

How do you do a placement and tacking stitch on inkscape
very confused. My program looks a bit different. when I go to layers the only option is "layers and objects" and when I click that it looks nothing like yours. I've clicked add layers but that doesn't do anything that looks like yours. also, can't import a regular image it has to be svg format
Please how to get the logiciel
It wont let me import an imagehow do i do it
Okay this gives me a little bit more confidence
2:30 I dont understand how you got the single line, whenever I use this tool, it creates a shape and not a simple line, Im so confused
I was having the same problem, I had to open the brush settings to fix it
Please make videos more.
the timelapse really caught me off guard
How do you set the density for the fill stitches?
You can adjust the density in Params under the auto fill tab- spacing between rows. Also added a link in my bio to blog explaining it
Hey can I contact you directly somewhere else for help?
too complicated! The 2024 version of the extension has "scan" that's often helpful and spares you those Bezier's nightmare
new user here and im assuming this will help you if you dont like how it scanned auto.
I didn't understand a single thing
Here was was a heck of a lot easier than the way I was doing it. My way looked like a child went through and threw nodes everywhere.
what does the satin lines mean? like details in the design or?
Usually you use a satin stitch for smaller details or thin lines. For example the outline on most patches is a satin stitch. Satin stitches are stitched In parallel ladder like lines that that give it a satin like shine

This is ANYTHING but "beginner". You just click-click-click and I have no idea what you clicked on or why.
Nice video but your moving to fast for a newbie.
Nice video but definitely not for a beginner
Bezier is pronounced Bezz eee Ay not bezeurrr It's French.. (Insert French sounding laugh here).
wow, beginner ??
Too fast
А НЕЕЕЕТ ФУРИ АААААААА
music is distraction to an otherwise fine tutorial.
