I have this light since december 2020, my choice influenced by this review, and I can say I'm very satisfied with it. Impressive batterylife and performance, very good clip. Nice review!
@@GuidoRowe Sorry for the late answer. Yes it has steady modes, in several output strengths. And now in feb 1th 2024 still pleased with the same light!
Mine stopped working after 1.5y and I'm not the only one. Probably the usb cap is not waterproof. Inside not much to wonder about; a 1300 MaH battery, a pcb and 3 leds. 50 EU is quite a bit of money.
how does this compare to the strip pro 300? they are both the same price now. my saddle bag leaves no space underneath for the strip to be attached to the sear post so iv been attaching the strip horizontally to the back of my saddle bag but of course with its 270 degree wide angle lens its designed to be attached vertically. I was considering this as I assume this is happy clipped on either way
Both of the lights are more than bright enough and realistically you can’t tell the difference between the 300/250 models. The light produced is much more directional with the zecto drive however, which may give greater visibility from further distances away. The clip also makes it ideal for use on a saddle bag as it’s easy to clip on and off when charging so would fit your use case perfectly!
@@EllTechnology yeah the clip seems ideal for the back of my topeak saddle bag, I don't think continuing to loop the strip pro 300 horizontally is as good as a solution as the clip on option with the zecto. I agree 50 lumens is hardly noticeable. do you think the zecto is visible from further away than the strip then?
It’s very possible although it’s hard to tell, the light output is definitely more directional and not as visible from the sides but on the roads would probably be difficult to notice!
@@mic400uk hi, since I am also looking for a rear light to mount on the saddlebag, I would like to ask you which light you are using considering that you too had the same problem.
@@gianlucaierpi2258 In all honesty, I've not been using the a saddle bag for quite some time, so I'm just using the strip pro 300 on the seat post as intended. on a short cycle I'll make using of pockets on my clothing for food etc. I also have a Zefal tool bottle for storage that I use in the 2nd bottle holder. for short journeys I do chance not taking spare tubes etc. but on long journeys I always take a backpack so there is always space there for whatever would be in my saddle bag.
Hi thanks for these very useful videos, i really need a light that can either be attached to my bum bag or via the loop at the rear of my saddle bag. I ride on very bumpy back lanes so need a super secure mount, have you got any opinion on how robust / tight etc this fitting option is. The light looks more bulky than say the traditional basic Cateye type lights so i'm concerned the light might break free. Best wishes.
Hi, You should have no problem clipping this light to a saddle bag, I've used it there in the past! Although the light is slightly bulkier than some of the other choices on the market, the clip is super solid and makes it ideal for this scenario as it can be quickly installed and removed but shouldn't bounce off, even when riding on gravel or similar surfaces. Hope that helps.
That description makes it sound like you might have the ‘alert’ model that goes solid when you’re slowing down, and flashes when you come to a sudden stop. Does the light flash like normal when it’s sat still/mounted on a bike?
@@EllTechnology Yes, it flashes without system when it is quiet on the table. i can also send a video if you like. Yes it's the "Alert" Version, but alert should only come when it is in movement, right?
Ah I see. It should only flash rapidly when there’s a sudden movement but it can get a bit confused if you’re holding it, or if it isn’t mounted properly on a bike!

Hey does this light have a steady mode. As I really need one and one just bought this but cannot find a constant mode

Love this video - so clear and easy to understand! This video is the reason I bought this light. 👍🏼
Great video, very helpful. Thanks!
Many tnx for explanation and show in real situation 🙏🙏🥰

@@EllTechnology Thanks for your comments.
Resistencia al agua?
I had a Bontrager Flare RT light. Unfortunately, they stole her from me. Will this also be a good choice? Anyone had a comparison?
Don’t have a comparison but it’s definitely one of the best lights I own so would highly recommend. Battery life is great and super bright!
@@EllTechnology I bought it and I'm just as satisfied
How many hours do you get out of it? 5-6hr or more?
Around 8.5 hours in 250 lumen day flash mode which is really impressive!
too bad the hard plastic leaves scratches on my seatpost and you need a cable to charge. plugging directly into a USB is more convenient
ive got the 80 lumens version - new buy today. But think there is a fault. the light is flashing very unregulated in every Mode. is that normal?

thats what you call keep the light attached and secure?! it seems like you only mount the light on your bike in the garden and dont ride.
