- We had an attack in broad daylight here on the homestead. Our favorite turkey is now missing and she did not survive this one. I found the proof I needed to exactly what killed her. Lets go and try to find the bobcat that did this.

Dutch, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for keeping YOUR FAMILY and property safe! If that means eliminating pit bulls or wild life that’s on your property, then you do what you have to do! Anyone that complains because of you protecting your family needs an attitude adjustment. IF the owner(s) cared about those pits, they would NOT be running loose on your property!
you have a bobcat on the homestead. Good luck keeping your homestead safe. I think your priority needs to be the stray dogs that are packing up. Keeping your family and your animals safe is a priority. ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
Its said that that some breeds have brains to large for there sculls and as they get older the pressure becomes a problem.
Good Evening All…be careful out there Sean. I hope you eliminate your problem soon.
I think you have a young bobcat lurking nearby. Just had itself a nice turkey dinner! Time to track it down. 💖💖💖
Yep...
The funkydunk freeloader.

My hubby says that animal you showed was a bobcat and the print looks like it too! Keep safe!
Agree.
👍🏻
@@angelpony1657I knew you would have to say something again and again 😮
I thought the same thing bobcat. 🇺🇸
It definitely looked like a bobcat and probably a female because it was chunky
That is not a bobcat people! That is a Manx cat! Look up Manx cats and you will see ones that look just like the one Dutch filmed. That cat was too small and it isn't afraid of humans. That is someone's pet just visiting them. I've had a bunch of Manx cats over the years and have one right now named Mr. Gray.
My Granddaughter was 5 years old and was playing in the yard with her mothers friends daughter. They had a pit bull that was suppose to be friendly. The kids were running around playing and he attacked my Grandaughter, took a chunk out of her arm and ate it and bit her in the stomach. DSS got involved, police and animal control. The dog was taken away and put to sleep and my Granddaughter ended up scared for life . She’s 16 now!
🫂🫂🫂🫂
So sorry to hear that. Pits are unpredictable.😢
That was a bobcat Dutch can’t you fence in your property? At least around your living space.
Was Bob cat for sure in that picture
That was a cat print. If it was a dog it would show claw mark tòo! Cats detract their claws❤
Good luck getting that bobcat. Sorry it got the turkey. Do what you have to do to protect your family and animals. Continued prayers for Gabby. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Same Here.
Amen!

Dang Dutch !! Your a marine...Marines always carry. And ready for action. Semper fi brother and God bless.😊
Bobcats roam about 90 miles. Big cats 120 or more. We have both here in East Texas. Remember to look up at the trees when you're going through the woods! Prayers you get it! We have had both at my house! Very scary! They were getting my neighbors expensive birds .
Too bad your neighbor’s birds don’t have Pteradactyl body guards!!!
That’s Terrible!!!

🙁
I vote for Bobcat Dutch. You got a very good shot of it. I had big house cats & they weren't near as big is this one was. Besides, I saw its face & it looks just like a Bobcat. Stay safe, & get 'em. Luv ya: GRAM in TEXAS.
It looks like a bobcat to me. So keep up the alert and be prepared . God bless 🙏🙏 Always be ready every where you go 🙏💖🙏💖
I’m sorry for the loss. It looked like a bobcat to me. You have to keep your family and animals safe. I hope you are able to take care of the problems before another animal loss or even a attack on the family. Much love and God Bless 🙏❤️✝️🥰🤗💖🙏🇺🇸💪🙏
That's not a bobcat, but it's definitely a cat with a bobbed tail. The main reason is you can tell from the more house cat like face and more intense, strong tabby markings versus the spotted pattern and lighter coat seen in bobcats.
Its always hard to lose an animal. Sorry about Trudy.
Exactly what happened to me. My blue turned on me in a heartbeat, tore my left hand to pieces had to be stapled inside and out. Only because there was a male pit that I was petting. petting!
I will tell you another secret when you hear squirrels barking , crows, bluejays and other birds chirping loudly there is a predator most likely a bobcat in the area. They warn each other.
While u were walking and talking those crows were squawking like crazy
@@katherineleonowski7289 that’s why I brought that up bobcats are territorial as well, they come out in the daytime as much as night. There are about 8 on the five miles of trail I walk and when the birds get I look around because the bobcats are near. Birds will also do that for hawks and owls. They will chase owls away. It’s not like your average morning bird singing.
👍🏻
Crows and Ravens also follow Coyotes
And Hummingbirds have also been known to follow Crows and Ravens.

🙂
It had no tail, it was bobbed. It was a bobcat. I really wish it would head to the deeper woods because they are beautiful. I am kind of shocked that it was that close and didn't bolt out of there. Makes me wonder if it was a pet and they let it go.
In my opinion, the cat you caught on video was a bobcat. I have a close-up pic of a bobcat on our property here in East Central Florida, and they look almost just alike! The one I have pics of was a mama and her 2 babies. Wish I could share the pics with you on here!
Good afternoon from Syracuse NY everyone thank you for sharing your adventures and your farm
I always stay Locked and Loaded when traversing around our farm. It's a MUST !
As having spent about 80% of my 45 years of life in the woods, hunting, fishing, camping, etc... also having spent time with cats (a pet half bobcat half domestic cat) cats in general do not leave claw marks when they step. Unless it's having to get traction in a very slippery spot they retract their claws. Dogs and coyotes can't retract their claws so they will always leave the claws mark.
Hope that helps.
Our son and his wife went to an auction over the last weekend and bought two stuffed and mounted bobcats and they are identical to the one you have. The ears and coloring , everything matches. Even the ears didn't have those horned looking hairs in top of the ears they were missing on both. Exactly the same size . Yours is a Bobcat Dutch!!!.
I know you would do whatever you can to protect yourself and family plus the animals. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
It’s frustrating trying to try to do what’s best for your animals and keep them safe. Hope you find it soon. 🙏♥️🙏♥️
Dutch that is a Bob cat just beautiful careful be careful with them pitt bulls a friend of mine was hurt bad by one God Bless you and your wonderful family
My grandfather was a wagoneer in the Army. His farm animals were always kept safe with proper shelter and fencing. Never paranoid like you are he loved all wildlife and knew how to live with them.

Manx cats have stubby tails also. They're known for their jumping abilities, as their hind legs are longer than normal house cats.
A Manx can ez get 35 lbs.left out side to hunt even bigger. So .be sure before you shoot,❤❤❤
That is a large print for a cat. They use trees for many of their attacks. Best way to find one is to use a call and spotlight at night. Be sure and spotlight the trees also. The eye shine is usually how you spot them.
Yep.
Don’t forget to look UP!!!

Heck yes we do it during foaling and calving season.
Your video are so suspenseful. My heart was pounding in this one. Stay safe, keep your family and animals safe, hunt out the threats and eliminate them.
Always something going on. When the time comes, you will know what to do. Just stay safe for you and you family. Blessings.
Young Bobcat definitely looked like a bobcat yes cats and Bobcats can crossbreed but very rare
Be careful Dutch... hope you get it soon bud....stay safe
That cat looks like a Lynx! They have that coat pattern, and they are between the size of a house cat and a Bobcat.
So sorry for your loss Dutch
LISTEN TO YOUR CROWS SCREECHING.
GOOD LUCK.
YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN FIRST,WORRY ABOUT OWNERSHIP LATER.😢😢😢😢😢❤❤
Bobcat for sure. So sorry about Trudy.
Bob cats love free ranging chickens, and turkey's
Pit Bulls and Dobermans can go from gentle to attack you in a split second...I've seen many cases of that thru the years and one was the sweetest pit I ever met, it was heartbreaking!!!
God Bless and I love y'all 💕💕💕
any dog can
@@stonecoldfan420 True, but there's reasons dogs turn of other kinds, Fear, frustration, possessiveness and pain...With pits and dobies its more genetics involved...
Chows can be nasty also
I have raised pits for 25 year's and it all on how they are raised. If a pit bites someone it's usually bad cause of how strong their bite is. Myself I think German Shepherds are way more unpredictable than a pit.
My guess is the bobcat you saw. Do what you have to do to keep your farm safe. God’s blessings
Watch the trees for bobcats. They often climb up in a tree with their prey to eat.
Looks like a Bobcat to me but yes they definitely can mix with "regular" cats. We've had it happen here in our county.
YIKES!
⚪️
😳
Definitely a Bobcat. They are smaller in the south, than the north. I saw one only once on our 40 acres in Oregon, 2x in one day, 11 am at one end of the property travelling southward, never thought I'd see it again and then again about 3:30 (November so it was dark early) at the other end of the property, going easterly. Also, they will watch you after they have killed prey.
Doesn’t matter what kind of cat, it took the turkey! Take care of business. Good luck!! ❤😊❤
I wonder if this animal is pregnant because it looks fat.
Decades ago Doberman dogs were turning on their owners and later it was said that they have a poor sense of smell and if they do not recognize you they will turn on you however my mother had one & she was a sweetheart.
@@MyriamToro-s5w I loved my dobie.....smart and loving.
My sister had a pit bull it was raised with her girls. The dog loved them, but then one day out out the blue it attacked her in the face. She had several surgeries to get back to looking normal.
Always protect mode. Bobcat. Its your family your lively hood. If it's a loose Pitty, it's a dead.pitty. Eliminate the trespasser. Blessings Keeping it Dutch 🙏🙏
Love your program! Doc Brown
So sorry about Trudy.
Bobcat paw prints measurement from left outside of toe to right outside of toe is 1 3/4" to 2 1/4" inches.
A Cougar paw prints
measurement from left outside of toe 3" to right outside toe 5".
Oklahoma has both.
To be honest. Any dog is dangerous typically it would be depending on how they were brought up.... dad said if they're abandoned dogs out in the woods and they're killing your animals drop them
Coy Dogs are BAD, too.
(Coyote/Dog cross).

Hi Dutch, coming from Hidden Height Farm.Enjoy the video. Be careful out there. New subscriber
You can always free range when you are outside but also keep them locked up when you are not home
I love your property, and your channel!! God bless you and family!!
i think it don't matter if its a cat dog or whatever if its killing your livestock it could very well come after your family or pets. so you have a right to protect your home no matter what animal it is and no matter what people say, this is your home and these people that dislikes it has never had to live in this situation, if they did they would get it. do what you have to do Dutch.
I’m leaning towards it being a Bob cat. A Bob cat is fast, quiet and travels a lone. If the pits did it they would be together, be loud & there would be lots of paw prints. That looked like a healthy Bob cat to me.
Smaller, but Yep.
😇
@@angelpony1657AGAIN boy you on a roll or drugs😂
Not a good situation. Good luck. Thanks. Chris from England
Hi Dutch, so sorry for your loss, you showed pictures of pit bull on your property and was saying how dangerous they can be, well l live in the U K and in the last 2 years there have been 10 fatal attacks by American XL Pit bulls and several more life changing non fatal attacks, please be careful don’t become another statistic. Sending love and hugs to you all 🇬🇧💕💕💕

YOU DEFINITELY HAVE AN INTERESTING SHOW.. SEEMS LIKE NEVER A DULL MOMENT
Is definitely a bobcat. it looks like bobcat tracks.
Dutch i live in ne Oklahoma too, and im tellin ya if u dont get rid of the predators and stay on it ur gonna have issues with it drawing more to ur lil farm, bobcats and those stray dogs is something we have issues with too!, i understand ur tryin to run a family channel and getting rid of predators may seem terrible to others who are watching and dont realize but u gotta put ur animals and familys safety first and the security of ur farm , keep up the good work👍
Having raised a variety of poultry and waterfowl for the last 20+ years, I can tell you it's ALWAYS the ones you've grown fond of the most that get predated on first.. The world if a cold, cruel place.. Enjoy them while you got 'em.
Mother Nature thanks you for feeding her wildlife.
I'm so sorry you and your family have had those experiences with pit bulls. I've had 6 in the last 20 years and never had that happen, no matter their age (my oldest lived to be 13). I hope you get your predator issues under control!
I think that’s a bobcat. You’re doing the right thing trying to protect your game and your family!! Stay safe. There are a lot of predators out there!! 🙏🏼
In my opinion you need to take care of business when you see it. Don't give it another chance. If it's hunting during the day it could easily be one of daughters. Be vigilant and stay safe.
Hi, Dutch. You're right about pits, but any dog bred in a puppy mill situation can become snappy Pits became popular for awhile and so many began irresponsible breeding. Temperament seems to be the first thing to they screw up. My family raised AKC Dobermans but we knew of puppy mill Dobes bred by ignorant folks who were biters., don't care if they belong to someone or not. I have ZERO tolerance for roaming dogs. I have no idea if they belong to anyone so I protect my chickens and my cat As far as the tracks, if there are nail prints on the end of the toes, it's a canine. If none at all, it may be a feline. Looks like a domestic dog track to me only because I think I see toenail impressions on the track you showed and the toenail shape is not rounded like a cat, but I could be wrong. We had mountain lion tracks by one of our chicken pens years ago-my late best friend was Cherokee and routinely had them crossing through her property in Oregon and she confirmed the tracks. Afterward, a neighbor asked if we'd seen the mountain lion. The cat you saw did look like a bobcat. The taking of the turkey without any warning could definitely be a bobcat. They are the worst for silent predation and they can take a chicken so quickly, there will sometimes be no feathers. My Cherokee friend lost a 12 lb rooster I gave her, right off her front porch as the day was winding down-he was 2nd in command after the alpha rooster so he always brought up the rear of the flock as they were going to roost He had bright red feathers and she never found a one of them dropped, but a bobcat was sighted by a neighbor of hers after the incident~Cynthia
Bob cat a young one stay safe and well 💕
I had a pit bull for 14 never attacked anyone she was excellent with every body. Any dog can turn on you at any time.Angel leaved with us till she died ❤
Just like humans...good an evil..just stay safe❤
Those look like cat prints because there are no claw marks. Be careful and keep safe. God bless.
Great video, sad to hear about Trudy. Stay safe, God Bless you and your family. ❤😍
That cat looks like a bobcat to me. Also you are very right about pits they can be a very griendly dog and good with kids but they will turn on you when you least expect it... Take care and God bless..
That is definitely a bobcat. We have many of them where I live here in New Hampshire.
Bobcat has real pointy ears, I don't think it's a bobcat. I could be wrong.
That’s what I thought too.. that cat didn’t have pointed ears. But any hungry cat in the wild can get a bird.
Lynx have pointy ears and the hair tufts, but they’re much more indigenous to Northern Regions-esp. Canada...
Bobcats have more rounded ears and little to no obvious hair tufts in them.
😇
Any wildlife predators need to be dealt with so you can protect your animals and family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Need to get a book on tracking and learn how to identify tracks. I done that as a kid now I know what I'm tracking and I'm in my 60s. No call Marks in a track especially on soft ground means feline (cat).
I do agree with you. I don't want one in. My yard.
You have to be careful with Lilly also
Mercy...YES!!!

😟
Looked like a bobcat ! It’s unfortunate but a must removing any predators that could endanger your family or livestock.
No words just this. 😢😢
Dutch, that looks like a Bobcat ( missing his tail) or a linx cat- they are slightly smaller than a Bob cat-
Maybe a strong fence around your property would help deter them but allow your birds to still free range
It will need to be a hell of a fence- at my Aunt’s house in Nevada- I watched a Bob cat jump over a 6’ privacy fence! I was shocked 😮 Good Luck 🍀
Yep.
Coyotes are Notorious for the Same Thing...
Roll-bars at the top of the fence Can stop them, if installed right.

@@angelpony1657what,, you just commented 50 times 😂
Be careful. Take care✌️🇺🇸
That looked like a Bobcat print to me. I'd walk along the path of the feathers as long as you can and then keep going on that direction.
I think it was too
I think it was a Lynx
Bobcat prints and definitely a Bobcat in the video. 😊
I think it was the adolescence bobcat that you saw earlier
That is a cat print you found by the feather. Dog prints have the nail imprint but cats just show the pad.
I hear it in your voice it’s very upsetting to you that you’ve lost a part of your farm; in a sense. That’s sad and they deserve your protection. You’re doing the right thing, track it and get it off your property for good!
I lost 8 hens last night to a mink in my coop and among my casualties was my favorite splash hen as you say it’s always your favorite ones they take out so sorry I’m heartbroken too
The cat is american bobtail tabby. A domestic cat that is a stray.
It sure looked like a bobcat to me. When we first moved into our house, it was in the country. I have a big patio in the back yard and our woodpile was way back in the left side of the property. Every afternoon a bobcat came and sat on the woodpile and waiting for a mouse or rat to make its way out of the bottom of the woodpile. After about 10 years the area where we lived was annexed into the city. Houses were built around us and the bobcat stopped visiting. It was usually around mid day when I was having a cup of coffee on the patio and the kids were napping when he came to visit. He knew I was there but I never bothered him. I acted like he wasn’t there and he ignored me as well. I still miss those great “coffee breaks” and that beautiful bobcat!
It’s time to take care of the predators. Don’t want somebody to get hurt.
It appears to be a Manx cat - short or no tail and the hind feet are almost shaped like rabbits and they move similar to a lynx or bobcat.
Btw... Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
If you look at the picture you shown us at the first, That Cat Had A Real Short Tail!!! It's a Bob Cat!!!
Straight up bobcat. We used to have them in our backyard near Seminole
That looked like a bobcat to me!
Bobcat absolutely. We have them in Florida and in my backyard.
Thats a pretty good size bobcat Dutch !!!!
They are a cross it's called a Pixie Bob. I used to own two of them.
That definitely is a bobcat. Large head, bob tail. Good luck in taking it out.
That looked like a canine print. You can plainly see the claw mark visibble. It even looks blunted, like it was trimmed. That could indicate a domestic dog. A cat will retract its claws when it runs. Btw, most definitely a bobcat in the picture.
Bobcat prints usually don't include nails...
