- With our navigation pad on the fritz, a fussy teething baby, and a busted toilet we decide to make a move further North. We heard rumors of a long, white sand beach reported to be a slice of the Caribbean in Maine, just a few miles south of the Canadian boarder. So we set sail in search of this rare spot. But before we can explore Kazza gets a crash course in marine toilet repair as our aft cabin toilet is making a horrible sound when flushing :( We get a surprise visit from the USCG patrol and spend the day exploring the amazing Roque Island by dinghy and land.

I watch you on a very large screen TV which is great for watching but can't comment or thumbs up. So this time, from my phone I want to say that seeing the Delos Friday notification come up on my phone always puts a smile on my face. I am sailing with you in my dreams.

My first thought as I watch, and recall my own experience as a parent, is how special those moments are with your young person. But then I see and realize how those moments are even better as your lives aboard Delos afford you even more patience than a land based life makes possible. I think your pace is just so fantastic for all of you. It’s all about your discovery as a young family. Thank you for the reminder, mine is 18 now, and it hasn’t stopped! I suspect it may never. Fair winds!

This episode reminded me a lot of my mother. She passed away a couple years ago. Like the peak in to family life aboard even though its not always picture perfect. Lovely to see Kaza and Sierra reading together. Sadly she never got ot see me purchase my first sailboat a C22. I know she would be happy to see me pursuing my dreams. hope to take to the ocean someday. Happy sailing

Hi, nice to see you 3 again. So glad you are enjoying Maine. We lived next door in NH so when our kids were young? we would vacation in Camden, ME and often sailed in a windjammer first day trips. Worth every penny. Kids loved it and helping sail the boat. It is now January 15th so I hope you are in a warmer place for the next 3 months? Prayers for your family!
My grandfather was the manager on Roque Island for a few years when I was younger and I used to live and work there during the summer in high school. I know that big, beautiful beach well!

Just wanted to take a moment to write and show appreciation for the coninued efforts and value that i see in you guys making these videos.
For a long time now iv watched each episode from days well before Sierra entered this world and its not only been inspiration to see you guys living life in ways id never put thought to being possible its now something i feel we should all see as a privelage having insight to the how very good people you are and seeing some very special moments in your lives.
Life has taken some unexpected turns which have been so very hard for me personally and watching your channel for so long has lead to me considering taking my exoerience and passion for boating and the ocean and puttimg considetation to setting out on a similiar journey and opening the doors to experiencing life and the world and putting any bad behind me now having seen how much good can be foind if you put yourself out there. Theres so much more in life if you put belief in yourself and your ability to find it .

This is one of your best episodes! And I have been tuning in since 2015. Don't know why this resonated so well. Maybe it is because of the boat maintenance (watching Kazza work on the pump and Brian explaining the details, which by the way is one of the best parts of your channel and what distinguishes you from the rest). Maybe it is the high quality video and audio (but this is usually the case with your productions). Maybe it is because of the arrangement of the video and the cinematography (really cool in this episode filming Sierra on the beach with you guys or the drone footage top down through the fog). Don't know why, but this video had a peace to it.

40 seconds into the vlog and WOW ‼️ After leaving Jonesport the sailing now separates the men and women from the boys and girls, especially if on the outside. Roque Island is a place every Chassé boy has taken his girl. A very special place. You used to be able to climb the small mountain (hill) and see all the chiseled names and years (50+years ago), yet due to too many people leaving rubbish, now unavailable.

I can remember being the only boat in the harbor and waking up the next morning to 25+ boats from the New York Yacht Club enroute to Canad. The next morning, totally alone again. At low tide, one can dig up huge clams (cohogs) and make a lovely stew. 🙂 Sailing down east is certainly magical. 👍✌️⛵️✨

Omg - I read Good Night Moon to my 4 kids a total of like a 1000+ times - had the booked memorized and I could talk turn the page and watch TV at the same time lol. Great kids book. Don't know if you are using baby oragel for the teething it works wonders for the little ones. Cutting the molars are the worse :( A macerating electric head and kids tossing crap into it and pushing the button will be some great excitement - had a few things take the porcelain train to the water treatment plant from my kids which caused a few toilet backups. Welcome to parent hood

Another Friday Delos video, another smile. I really enjoyed the editing and the musical selection during the "fog" scene was particularly splendid.
Might I suggest leaving a PayPal "tip jar" email in your video descriptions? There are other content creators I enjoy who do this and for me it's a nice, easy and preferable way to chip in a little something whenever and in whatever amount strikes me at any given time.

Love this episode. What a beautiful spot you’re at. It’s fun to see your little nugget walking on the beach. Such a cute family. I especially liked the shot from the drone looking down at the boat through the fog and your choice of music. It very much reminds me of growing up on the boat as we tooled around Long Island Sound up to New England. My brother and I used to stand watch on the bow while Dad was at the helm. Looking out for other boats, lobster pots & jetties when approaching the harbor. Way before all the technology of today. ❣️

Great job on fixing the toilet macerator. Lol, it's a fine line between saving old broken units and hoarding. One that I struggle with everyday. With a large enclosed barn the struggle is very real for me. LOl.

I swear this is one of the best maintained sailing vessel, over the years, I've seen on RUclips. I think if FV DELOS ever decided to give up ocean sailing, they could probably find a ride into space.

Little Nugget is so fun. My grandson is 2.5yrs and it has been great watching him explore. He is so funny and helpful. Of course being a boy is all fart and burp giggles in our home lol. Can't wait to see where you get to in the far North. Im near Toronto and we have had an oddly warm winter so far.
