That’s a beast. I have always loved the ability to get access to cleaning the deck and sharpening blades with ease.. some of that grass looked like it was 2.5 foot tall. Great machine
I really want one of those grasshopper mowers for a mowing business that I run since they can mow pretty quick. However, these grasshoppers like the one this guy was using is literally a 14-$15,000 mower. And I actually run a mowing business at 14 years (About to be 15 on August 13th) old. This is something I've been doing since I was like 12. And I've been looking to save up for a snowblower tool for a grasshopper so I at least have something to do in the winter instead of just having to let it sit for the entire winter until the grass starts growing again. However, in South Central Kansas where I live, the majority of the winters we get here are not always white winters. So that's the only problem when it comes to having expensive equipment, you can't really mow in the winter since the grass doesn't grow.
I spent the past 10 years in Wichita and worked at Maximum Outdoor for a while. If you want a fast, reliable, mower go with Bad Boy, Hustler, or Ferris. The Ferris mowers I rarely see break down, and we were a dealer. Sadly, we are a Grasshopper dealer as well and I see a lot come through our shop needing service. Ferris is the best mower I've seen. I was cutting over a foot tall grass at full speed and it never bogged down. The bad boy mowers are beasts as well but I'm not sure on reliability. The Bad Boy I have has been reliable as hell but it has a Cat diesel on it with a 72 inch deck and top tier pumps and wheel motors so it's to be expected. That cushy Ferris ride though 🥰
Bought 2 of the 725D’s. Bogged down a lot and radiators clogged badly causing over heating all the time. Returned and got the 937G3’s. Love em. They’re beasts.
My company has a 725d. Been in the shop more than it has been running. Less than 600 hrs in 2 years and the gated community it mows is huge. It also gets next to no traction with brand new tires, 2nd set, old ones weren't worn out..
looked at this same mower earlier this spring for a large commercial bid (didn't get it, the condo complex went with the lowest bid, drove by today and to say it looks bad is an understatement) Definitely want to buy this mower at some point, I did demo the new 900d with the Aerovator and WOW that was just awesome!
Luxury Lawns - I have the same mower but with a 52 inch deck, mine is a 2012 I bought new in 2013. My mower doesn't do well with taller grass or slightly higher than a normal lawn that is wet both the motor will really bog down. I love Diesel but I hate the 25HP Kubota in mine. The best thing I can say about the machine is I have used a battery tender on it for years now Maybe 8 years with one on it and somehow my battery is still the original and it keeps on working. Unreal for a battery to last this many years but its a good one & I live in Wisconsin and even with getting cold in winters etc... come spring it fires right up. I also have issues with mine getting the radiator screen plugged up easy and it gets hot - I have to take the air compressor and blow out the cover screen and the aluminum coil - as well as spray water all over that coil. Happens a lot - especially if it is hot outside its numerous times while mowing a yard. It happened again today about 6 times mowing 2 acres. Would have been more probably but the temp outside finally cooled down a bit.
@@michaelmactavish1728 That Kubota engine did not come close to the power needed for that mow. The vanguard 35-37 HP engines are far superior to Kubota in every way and would have allowed him to one pass that entire mow.
@@faceious2006im accully looking at a F3990 a 39.6hp kubota front mounted mower with a nice comfortable enclosed heated and ac cab wich is nice on hot days
About to buy that same mower looked at Ferris which handled the grass better? Thing I like about grasshopper is the easy way to lift deck and sharpen blades.
Both great mowers. It seems like I can mow closer to objects with the grasshopper and it leaves a better cut with the front deck flexing. Cleaning the deck and changing blades is a lot easier.
Yes. I had the vanguard 36hp on the Ferris. It seems like the diesel on the grasshopper has more torque for sure. They say the diesel will last longer. Time will tell.
Luxury Lawns that’s a good size lot and that mower handel i well and been thinking about getting a grasshopper and there fast in my opinion but still give u a nice quality cut and quality over quantity
It just depends on what you are looking for. I would not by them if I were running a lot of crews because you can almost by two good mowers for the price this one grasshopper mower. I mostly mow solo so I am the one operating it all the time. I do like the floating deck out front. I just wish it would flex side to side more. It also make cleaning and changing the blades easy.
Fuel use is better with diesel especially under load. Diesel aka #2 fuel oil can be delivered to your shop and avoid paying highway tax bringing price down 40 to 70 cents per gallon.
Well first off your using a finish mower deck for lawns on something that should have a flail mower in front of it. That deck is for lawns. Not for weeds or brush.

These things are a tank!!! Love grasshopper mowers!!!
Ares is a literal bush hog we use it to mow the pasture are is like a 2010

@@Looneybob1 ur right bout traction. Better not get in wet spot with a grasshopper.

I have had 2 725 d's and love them. I think i'll go try out the new 900 this winter. Dealers give some deals at year end.
That thing chokes down a LOT... especially for flat ground and thin 14" growth.
kubota engines rpms rises down but it rises back up with no stalling wich kubota engines are the #1 top best engines on the market

how did you like the ferris compared to this?
Eugene porter of the walking dead, didn’t know you mowed the grass 👌
😂😂
What do you like better the grasshopper or the Ferris 3200z
What do you like better, the Ferris or the Grass hopper and why?
I guess the Ferris since he hasn’t responded!
I actually like them grasshopper zero turn mowers. I have seen them used a lot but never owned one. Maybe one day.
It seems like a good mower so far. I will do some follow up videos when I put some more hours on it.
They are the rolls royce of lawnmowers 😉👍👍
Great video fun and informative thank you
Check out my latest video where i'm using the Aera Vator attachment on the mower. That thing is a beast! Be sure to subscribe.

so do you like the grasshopper alot better to Han Chinese he Ferris or are they pretty comparable?
That mower handled that really well and how big was the property
about 1.5 acres

the kubota F3990 a 39.6hp sells for $27,000 here in canada wich not bad for big hp front mower

Sup man...you need to get that raked and make some round bales. Geez!
No joke!
Did you trade in your ferris or keep it? Thanks good video
Its gone.
Can I ask where you traded it in I’m really wanting to trade in my ferris for a grasshopper exactly like you have
Ive seen one going into my hometown before
This mower seems to struggle more than your 3200Z
BOM DIA ! Pra mim é uma honra esta aqui te prestigiando, vamos sempre juntos somar e fortalecer nossos trabalhos, eu já estou por aqui

Watch video of
(toro out mows grasshopper )
Sounds like your blades are dull......bogging.
they may have been a little dull but that grass was thick enough to bog down a shreder.
:-)
Stan Wilhite the grass was tall
It bogged because he had the deck wa too low, Looks like 2" - 2.5". Should have been set to 4.5" then 2" on the 2nd cut.
Flail mower would work mucho better.
