Hi! When it’s really windy we have to use a plugin called izotope rx10. It has a de-wind function that works like magic.
I like that you are mining some old perhaps forgotten songs.
I've wondered when you record outside how you keep from getting wind and background sounds?
Hi! For recording outside we use dynamic mics with a filter on because they pick up less noise around you.
Then we use a few different plugins to reduce the noise even further. Our most used plugins for noise removal are the Waves NS1 and and iZotope RX 10 suite.
A Gorgeous duet, fantastic cover ... get a bass guitar player ... that would enrich your talents !
