I live vicariously through your videos! I'm just an old grandma now but I'm still a Florida girl at heart and used to do all the stuff you do. I said yesterday's video was the most exciting you've ever made but I was wrong this one beat the heck out of that! I never caught a tuna and I wish I had!

I am paralyzed and I’ve been in the chair for going on six years this August I Was shot 10 times while celebrating At a tailgate in Flint Michigan. Since my accident I have been in a lot of pain and really depressed but while watching your videos it takes the pain away and makes me really happy just by watching you guys have fun and enjoying each other‘s time as a family and with friends

The real accomplishment is catching ahi with 80lb test & a used leader. I take only 15 minutes with 400lb test trolling lure or 250lb test palu ahi leader. Once I get the head turned it's coming in. Don't have to worry about breaking the leader. Congratulations Gabe & Kelly!!!! Tight lines

I freaking love the energy of the capt and crew on this boat & I damn nearly spit out my coffee from laughing when Capt' gagged on the tuna heart haha.
I would have gone straight over the back of the boat when that tuna hooked up & would have been screaming "I wasn't Ready!!! and I'm 400 pounds to boot. A 30 pound striped bass will yank you over if you aren't prepared. Never under estimate the power of a big fish. Congrats Gabe & Kelly on some Beauties'

I’ve seen a bunch of comments about the fish and the fight, and don’t get me wrong they did an amazing job. But that captain, that captain is worth his weight in gold and probably has forgot more fishing knowledge then I’ll ever know.

One of the best videos yet! When the Capt. mentioned we are going to, " break his spirit" all the sudden I got the imagery of a wild mustang being caught. Wow! That was intense and most awesome.

I have lived in south Louisiana my entire 40 years and have never been offshore fishing but it is for sure on my bucket list

Looks like You, Kelly and JooooE VT (no Y) just had a blast on this trip. The fishing sure look great and I would love to do that but, hunting to Nutra Rats is a other level of fun.
If you were to post the whole fight I would make a big bowl of popcorn, maybe an adult beverage and watch it over and over.

Hi Gabe. I love your exciting and adventurous videos. I'm from Minnesota and have been an avid hunter & fisherman my whole life. I'm just too old to do what I used to do now. I haven't done much ocean fishing, so I learn a lot from you.
So, in return for your great tips, I've got one for you. You'll find this is a game changer when using dead baits. You just put your dead baits in a ziplock bag and pour in a bunch of Twenty Mule Team Borax that you can find cheap in the laundry aisle, Borax is absolutely odorless and tasteless, so it doesn't impart any odor or flavor to the bait. It will keep the baits fresh without refrigeration for many days and the bait stays firm but not stiff. Try it sometime. We actually think it helps us catch a lot more fish than frozen or salted baits. Good Luck!

beautiful fish there Gabe! I caught my 1 and only YFT on a party boat, 195 miles south of Galveston. On. A. Dare.
30 pound braid, 80 lb fluoro leader, rooster popper. On a 7'7" UglyStik Inshore rod with a 4500 series spinning reel - the crew dared me to try and I'm always up for a good fight with with a bruiser fish. 3rd cast - and boom! I fought that 72 pounder for nearly 40 minutes before the crew finally was able to land him. So yes - the stand-up game (even on that small tuna) is a rough one! I can only imagine a 180+ lb tuna ..... Good sh*t brother!

I think Gabe has the right idea about how to eat the heart. I have eaten some weird stuff but sometimes ya gotta have the sauce. Tuna is an acquired taste anyway.
