Vir Sangvi is an excellent interviewer. He takes a very balanced unbiased approach. He listens intently to issues raised by his guest and asks probing questions that allows his guest to respond at the same time clarifying some misconceptions if any.
He is a prized member of Print that tends to be left of centre.
What we are seeing is a political slugfest. There is some truth to the allegation of stock manipulation. Also we have to understand that the source of this controversy is P Notes, which was introduced by P. Chidambaram of the INC, when UPA was in power. P Notes allows FDI into Bharat’s stock market with no questions asked. That said both the Hindenburg reports have had only temporary effects on the Stock Market.
The real culprit is Bharat’s Judicial System that moves at a Bullock Cart pace. This is an embarrassment. The third pillar of Bharat’s Democracy has to put its house in order. The nepotism in the Collegiate System of appointing SC judges is so blatant and has to be addressed.
Adani is the biggest scamster India has ever seen !
It's ironical that we give so much weight age to a foreign report. Aren't our procedures well in place? The entire US agencies failed miserably in Lehman Brothers and now they see an opportunity in making their buck in India. They cannot digest the Indian Growth story.
The Congress and all parties together should not fall prey to these Western Media and agencies. The opposition also led by Shri Rahul Gandhi should disregard and oppose such biased reports.

Questions to Amitabh Dubey: what will be the consequences when Adani mega scam is finally investigated and punishments carried out ? Should INDIA not demand stoppage of further loans and incentives to Adani companies ? What are the steps to be taken to arrest further expansion of monopolies ?
It's sad that the Vice President made a comment on this matter. Vice President must remain away from politics. If he wants to practice politics, he must be an MP and not the Vice President or Chairman of the Upper House.

How sweetly Vir Sanghavi missed that Amitabh Dubey is son of Suman Dubey, classmate of Rajiv Gandhi and his close friend.
Ps : But yes Mr. Dubey is a erudite speaker and good communicator, better than our fraud Chaiwala's party. BJP could not find a good knowledgeable speaker post Arun Jaitley's death.

The functioning of the current dispensation is based on opaqueness and crony capitalism. Adani did not invent any ground breaking technology. Yet his net worth rose 10 fold in this regime. On the other hand, a middle class person is burdened by tax and lack of opportunities for forward mobility. Adani has been unduly favored by the current dispensation and causes a loss in revenue.
So the supreme court is toothless tiger ! They cannot put timelines on results 😂😂😂😂
While the interview is interesting with several detailed points, it comes across like the interviewer is asking questions to learn about the topic himself.
Shouldn't a financial journalist more well versed about the Hindenburg report and existing cases research and do a more critical interview? I ask this as someone neutral on this specific topic - If Amitabh Dubey had all these reasons to suspect several Adani group deals, why did he or other activists in India not take up the issue through the legal system? If Hindenburg did not publish the report, would they have done nothing? Or is this no avenue to raise such an issue in Indian legal or stock market system?
All in all, this is a terrible format for an interview on such an important topic. A journalist must do some homework. I may as well have taken the interview.

Adani began investing in a sector where no other business house would venture - Infrastructure.
If not for Adani India would not have had world class ports and airports.

One simple fact is in AML guideline there is something called as related party transactions and all government employees or any person having any government positions has to disclose if she or her family members hold any investments and also people working in any private entities related to markets can't hold any such investments so it becomes related party transaction. It's crystal clear. Secondly this government when in opposition were opposing P notes but since they formed the government they have increased the limit for P notes and we all know what P notes are and what are they used for.
Benefit in terms of political power for the PM.

Good interview. However I wish Amitabh Dubey was a apolitical person. Congress doesn't deserve such sane guys. They only deserve Surjewalas, Jairam Ramesh now, just like Bhuta Singh, DK Barua, RK Dhawans during Indira Gandhi’s days. Coz it is Congres who is ushered in crony capitalism back from the days of how Relinace was pampered during license Raj and involvement of institutions like PSBs during Harshad Mehta scam and not speak of 2G and Coal scams recently. Amitabh is handsome; appears to be a decent guy; talks fine but is clearly guided by the Bal, if not Dushta, Buddhi!!! 2. Having heard him talk, it is clear that once Congress is back to power, Adani and Ambani assets are sure to be nationalized. That is the only way to finish off this Modi's evil crony capitalism!! 3. May Lord Ram grant him Sadh Buddhi!!!! 4. One point is common sense- India needs to have wealth tax based on data collected via Aadhar and PAN and linked to some threshold like wealth above 5 crores ( which would also include agricultural land holding etc.). This will ensure that while one can be rich, he or she contributes to the society and hence, no one should grudge the wealth. Modi Govt must work this out and by doing so, it will not lose voters but will gain a lot more of them. The tax so collected should be used only for education and skill development.
He is Rajiv Gandhi's best friend Suman Dubey's son.. Suman Dubey was a great support for Sonia after Rajiv's death and still he and his wife Manju is very close to Sonia and family.

Bharat legal system promoted opaque investment method prior to 2014 . Most politicians, Buisness man, Bureaucrats stashed black money abroad and were allowed to bring back that mine through promissory notes allowed by Chidambaram as FM.
Did actions of PM cause for Shaikh Hasina ???? Really. Now you can say many things about the deal and it is costly or immoral and that may be true too, however the streching it to conclusions of Destabilising Bangladesh is really giving clean chit to Jamat e Islami and other Factors. Now there is a History of congress starting Chinese whispers like saying 26/11 is a RSS attack and Digvijay Singh and Mahesh Bhat attending book publishing by Journalist with the same title and then Congress giving the Journalist National Awards. And Nobody said It was actually Mahesh Bhatt's Son who helped David Colmen Headly to some locations.
Opposition should come out with some tangible evidence and ask for action instead of accusations based on assumptions.
