Important question team. What file can I get out of DJI Terra so that I can take it to another software to create a contour map? I am pretty sure it does not produce contour maps for its user. Thank you.
Hello, We don't really understand the process of the 1 to 5 column on the left in PILOT 2 mission planning on smart controller (match with 5 colors mapping area?). Is it mandatory to perform 5 flights to have full mission accomplished? and why is it overlapping on the left scheme or with a gap on the right scheme (26:46") ?
Thanks for the help. Question about overlaps. You said 75% and 80%. Is that not overkill given the powerful camera? My thought is that the more photos may not improve quality, but cause more processing time in post. Your thoughts?
Great info. However there is a big limitation to the smart oblique mode (that even DJI support service could not answer) : how can you be sure to avoid motion blur in smart oblique mode when you cannot chose the horizontal speed ? The Zenmuse P1 is a great tool but so far we still use the oblique mission to be sure our photos won't get motion blur.
@@B1g_Salad global shutter prevents the rolling shutter effect. Motion blur is due to the shutter speed and the motion of the camera. The global shutter does not adress this issue.
Ah I see. I misinterpreted you question. I would think that the shutter speed is quick enough to negate this effect. Do you know if you could manually adjust the ISO setting on this sensor? If so, you could adjust the shutter speed to be quicker if this is what you are experiencing. This is all just speculation as I’ve never actually used this camera.
Thank you for your very informative video. I have a question regarding flight planning. Do you need to have the drone connected to the controller to upload a kml file for mapping mission? I'm having trouble uploading kml. Have been flying mapping missions on the P4RTK for two years now and it appears the process to upload kml and create mission is different. Can you please upload info on the pre-flight procedure to follow for M300 with P-1. Thanks and Aloha from Hawaii
@Ted Crete what shutter speeds you recommend for maximum speeds at 90 degrees pointing down the camera for just orthophoto? I usually do 1/800 - 1/1000
when we use Matrice 300 RTK with D-RTK 2 Mobile Station for matrice series Does it necessary require an internet connection will the RTK work in Area where there is no internet or even mobile phone signals ???
This is all very exciting but photogrammetry is still NOT READY FOR Professional work. Lidar, multi spec and autho are still the only real survey assets sellable as a service.
Except for the hundreds of customers that have purchased the P4 RTK and M300 from us specifically to do photogrammetry work. What do they know that you don't? Or vice versa?
@@multicopterwarehousellc good for you. The simple truth is 150k will get you flying lidar for money. There is not a PI that will back photogrammetry at survey level yet. Most are doing rectfied autho mapping for money. Don't get me wrong it's a great little machine but like with multispec and thermography you do these first and then seek an aerial solution if required. It is utterly a fools errand to 'like drone flying' buy a tool and try and compete in a room of true professionals in their field. Drones are a tool not an education bypass. @@Guide504 I would say that you don't understand the market completely. There are lots of people making money doing photogrammetry today (and have for years), and many will make money with the M300/L1. It may not be up to your standards, or that of some customers, it doesn't mean there isn't a market for the data that can be generated with the P1 or L1.
@@multicopterwarehousellc Why are you selling drones if you were making money through photogrammetry, they are two different specialisations. Did you discover that the photogrammetry market was as I suggest?
@@Guide504 I was never making money at it. I can only talk about our customers and how many of them over the years have made money with photogrammetry and continue to do so.
Why can't you use Oblique with Terrain Follow. Thats all I want, please someone tell me how I can do this....
Does it come with timestamp photo capture?
Thank you for a great overview, I have had my P1 for about a month now, still learning as I go along, this is one awesome camera!!
I realize I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Marley Jagger Try FlixZone. You can find it on google :)

It has a global shutter which is meant to address these concerns

Question about what is your preferred gimbal pitch for mapping purposes?

If you use the ground station you don’t need an internet connection. Only need a connection if you are using N-Trip
the zenmuse p1 don´t come with lens calibration data?
Pretty cool, I want!
