I fell inside the field of a collasped system before at a farm dark early morning and had to be pulled out with a rope. Be careful when walking in the field on large farms and watch for patches of weird levels of grass, high and low spots and upset gravel and dirt.
Wells too! My best friend had a water delivery service and was on a farm to fill up a large in ground water tank. It collapsed, and he fell in. It was winter time, and the elderly owner was nowhere around where he was. He was trapped in freezing cold water up to his chest for 20 minutes with no way to get out. He finally got a piece of sheet metal that fell in and sunk to the bottom and somehow bent it and used it as footing to climb out. He crawled to his truck and passed out. The home owner finally went to check on him to see why it was taking so long. He was in the hospital for several days with severe hypothermia. I'm so thankful he survived he's a great guy and a dam good friend.

Here I was thinking that “pump out the septic” meant hooking a hose up to some valve and pushing a button. Never knew it involved using a long stick blender to purée the shit soup.
I've watched a handful of videos and love what you're doing with the channel! It's nice seeing our industry get some love on RUclips. I'm originally from Dripping Springs so it's nice seeing some content from back home too!
Where I live septic pumping companies are getting strict on adding risers. If you call to have your septic tank pumped and there are no risers, they will not pump it until you dig up the lids. They will locate them for you, but not dig them up. Be amazed how many people refuse to install risers after the pumping. When people go house shopping, I sometimes do home inspections and the one thing I tell the client is if there is a septic tank with no risers, the septic system is more than likely not in good shape and needs to be inspected. Why all because of a refused $300 dollar riser install (cheaper if you do it yourself) and/or not digging their lids up for the pumpers the septic never gets pumped. Risers may not look pretty but they add great value to your house.
Cool, but if risers were installed it would save from digging the yard each time. However, if you don't mind doing it more power to you.@@LillyAnnHouston

I work for a septic company but not on the pump truck. I think it should be required to add risers to anything that is more that 6 inches down. My back will thank you for sure.
I don’t believe there should ever be laws or regulations put in place for the convenience of people, only the safety. A riser should be encouraged but never required.
