I just use a cup of Costco Greek yogurt as my starter. Also, I microwave the milk to make it warm before pouring it in. I increase the time to 9:30 hours and it is perfect on just 1 cycle.
If you keep some of previous yogurt you made you can use that as your ‘starter’ yogurt as it has plenty of cultures. Just an FYI to save $. We usually freeze it in small container and thaw when ready to use. No need to buy starter then . ;)
Thank you SO much for making videos using this bread maker, I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I’ve tried your recipes and they are fantastic!
@@dissendatthisandthatfromny5617 It worked out good. Mine was simpler. Just used 1 Litre of full cream milk and 2 bottles of Yakultz. Same as yours I had the breadmaker on Yogurt settings for 8 hours twice. I t came out watery but keeping it in the fridge for 2 days it came out in a thicker consistency which is great. Today I am experimenting with only one 8 hour cycle. I know you recommend 2 cycles but just want to see if I can save 8 hours :)
Hi Calee! I doubt about the soy milk replacement because yogurts need lactose to thicken. You can try with whole milk first and maybe mix it up with 1/3 of Soymilk the second time?
I purchased Cuckoo bread machine today. I am so exiting to make bread, jam and yogurt like you! Thank you for sharing your experience with Cuckoo.

I'm excited to try....do you think it would be possible to exchange the whole milk for soy milk?

@@hosanna806 Thank you for the info Ellen...much appreciated.
When can you add fruit?
Fresh fruits are added when the yogurt is done :)
