6:36 Excellent statement. If you are going to expat, emerge yourself into the culture. A big part of that is learning the language in that country.
Sadly enough I saw a video of Mexico City and it was about gentrification. Due to COVID and remote work, many westerners came there and some embraced the culture but many didn’t and now have cafe’s and restaurants that show English. That isn’t good and it displaces people along with taking away authentic culture and putting the culture you wanted to get away from. Keep it authentic there. Please.

Hi Nicky, I love your channel. I'm Dominican. I have several apartments in Samaná. I have them on Airbnb and I'm also now investing in Pedernales, which will be like Punta Cana in the next few years. I have several plots of land that I bought cheap.

Here in the DR they drive without control, it's crazy, but now they are implementing more fines for anyone who drives under the influence of alcohol and anyone who violates the traffic law. Puerto Plata will also be bigger because they are investing in apartments and more tourist complexes and they are also implementing more free English courses, such as English by immersion. Last year, 16 thousand Dominicans graduated in English by immersion. It is a totally free English course. This English course was implemented since 2009.
