Great show guys, but so sorry to hear about Dan - a shock 😔
Don't know about the pro sequencer 16. They've already got that in their system 100 series.
But .... Behringer will be re-issuing a remake / upgrade of their BCR2000, the rotary midi controller. The upgrade will consist of a second mode that will turn it in a Zaquencer 4x8 sequencer. For the old BCR2000 you had to upload non-Behringer firmware for that (which works fine). Anyways, an additional BCR2000 always comes in handy (having a bunch of original 80s and 90s synths with a very poor (one knob) user interface.
Taking the opportunity to thank you both for your always happy and breaking news. Always love to see ye!
I've been saying for years somebody needs to make a Cirklon for $200 and they'll sell a ton of them. The Chompy almost looks like one, but it's definitely not. And now Behringer almost does it, except it's a not-great-looking module with an MPC 4x4 grid instead of a 2U unit with 16 steps in a row. I'd sure rather have the normal 909 layout than the numeric keypad layout. But it's still pretty cool.
RIP Dan , seemed like a sweet guy
"Hey you guys"
Nice one, as always.
That elusive theremin from Stylophone/Dubreq is a comin'......doors open Aug 8th 5pm....or so we're told.
But.....I'm having second thoughts after watching a preview video. Yep, nice idea but think I'll give it a miss. Looks like £109.99 Inc del. Due in 8 weeks......so......another 2 months to wait to finally get your hands on one.
So going to keep my pennies for something more worthy.
I liked Dan’s presentation skills, always informative and always affable. A complete shock, I’m sure he’ll be missed. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. Very sad news.
I miss Dan, too young to leave. Have a good idea why though unfortunately. ❤
This is all fine and dandy , but here in Canada Buying Behringer gear is a huge complicated convoluted mess.
until Behringer sort this out , there sales will be poor or nil in this neck of the woods.
in Russia prices on Behringer gear also awful
You could always buy from Andertons in the UK. Their international shipping prices are reasonable.
Very sad to hear about Dan
Chaps! There’s some behaviours in the original 909 sequencer because of the low clock speed of the CPU. The timing isn’t bang on perfect so it feels a bit more ‘alive’. I do like the idea of the Eurorack sequencer but Behringer are doing a remake of the Zaquencer thing aren’t they? Which has I think 3 lines of cv-gate if I’m not wrong. Keep rockin.
Rip Dan… 😢
Sad news about Dan. I don't think that fanboy sequencer's going to fly, somehow - it's too damn big, for starters, and while illuminated encoders look nice they add a lot of cost without actually being very useful in practice. It's just a swimming pool short of being Homer's ideal car design! Good to see the RS-9's finally hitting the shelves, though - that's been a long time coming.
If they could’ve put some sounds in there it’d be awesome!
Have you ever used an SQ-1 or a DFAM or an Edge or a SQ-10? Analog sequencers are awesome. The big problem is they don't have any pattern memory so they're basically toys. The digital encoders solve that problem. You don't think it's useful for a sequencer to be able to store more than one pattern?
@@RaquelFoster I've got sequencers both analogue and digital coming out of my ears, thanks. Perhaps you're missing the point of analogue sequencers, which is that they're ideally suited to improvised live performance. They're most definitely not toys. If I wanted to store the sequence from an analogue sequencer during a performance, I could grab it with a looper. If I want to save sequences for long-term, I'll use a digital sequencer because that's the tool for the job. Less snark would be nice, by the way.
@@thisisnev You don't think it's useful for a sequencer to store patterns... unless it's a digital sequencer? But this IS a digital sequencer. That's why it has encoders and a screen. You're just saying random insane things. The fact that you can "grab it with a looper" is not a compelling argument just because you tried to say it casually! 😂
You started this thread to poop on someone's idea for a sequencer, and I'm being snarky?
