The coolest thing about the corvair was that they were rear engines. Swapping it to front engine, putting an autozone skull shift knob on it and painting it the color of a hearing aid, in my opinion isn't ideal, however it is still a pretty car nonetheless and does sounds good.
I built up a 65' monza midengine crown conversion. Engine bolts up to trans/transaxle, no driveline. Corvair wheelies thru 3rd at 90 mph. Lots of fun to roast...
What do you mean by wobbly? Does it get bumpsteer, rack n pinion funky when cold or? All these old cars steered fine when the box is fresh. 2000 mi is "ripe" for sell meaning fairly well sorted and debugged Love the curved windshied that is gorgeous!
to me it looks like a backyard build, the paint job and body work dont look good, lot of wibbles. and the cowl says it all about the paint job cause its to hard to sand and buff it

"Crown" used to offer a mid-engine swap kit (for Chevys)
SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW THIS VIDEO TO MATT AT MATT'S OFF ROAD RECOVERY
HE'S A BIG FAN OF THESE CARS

They used the stock 4 speed, how did that hold up to v8 torque?
Like both the stock and V8 configuration cant go wrong either way
I want one!

what was done to the suspension?
im guessing he dropped the body onto a v8 suspension from something else with a similar wheel base, ive seen it done with a blazer
In the description...Mustang II front suspension
Nice Car... No horn, No heat, No AC, No radio but what you have appears OK... Forgot No power steering.
No need for PS in a car like this, has a newer front clip that helps
If Id discovered these back in the 80s bet Id have built one rather than a V8 vega or other muscle
It's a beautiful car but I'm a corvair purist and I feel it's been ruined !
Mid engine 283 would be the best conversion.
The engine bay must be for shit. Only a very short time of viewing it and even then not a single good view of the engine.

Might as well be driving a buick special. Chevy nova or a Pontiac tempest.
for sale?
This car has been sold already
Letukka
That's a waste of time and money
