Good review guys. I’m big fan of the sar I’ve had a k2p for couple of years and have treated it bad lol It is my put on hip and ride in woods gun and has never let me down. The Rex seems nice but 600$. Just wish sar would put a decocker on their pistols.
mulekicker 1919 We did not know that the Sar Mega would be this good. To say we are impressed is a understatement. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences, it is good to here from other owners. Beretta Sr.
I have several Sig 229 and 226, plus had the Arex Rex Zero 1. It was a good gun, never a malfunction but the grip was thicker than your standard Sig, a bit heavier DA trigger pull, Sig mags wouldn't fit and I have many Sig magazines laying around. Holsters were hard to come by. I ended up selling it, good gun but it didn't fall into a category for me. Good review though guys, well done.
Y u no do M&P 2.0 Compact? I just bought one and it's quickly replaced the CZ P-07 as my favorite compact polymer pistol Of these two, I would go for the Mega if only it had a decocker. I personally don't think safeties have any business being on a DA/SA design unless you're going for super trim and crisp SA triggers
FromPlsNerf Good points Sir. I have not shot the M&P 2.0 yet. Maybe in 2018.... I also like the CZ P07's allot, they represent a great CZ for a great price. Beretta Sr.
Excellent review on both pistols, we don’t have the arex Rex zero Canada yet hopefully in the new year we will.is the arex a clone of the sights 226? You both have a real great take on reviewing firearms and I’ve enjoyed all your videos, keep up the interesting and informative reviews.
keyup2626 Thank-you Sir! Yes the Rex is a pretty good copy of a Sig 226 or 229. All 3 of these pistols are Excellent, and the Rex comes in about $300 to $400 less then the Sig's. Beretta Sr.
Wow-------you guys are real pros, I learn so much watching your videos. I am not in the market for a 9mm but I think the Mega would be some deal. I am looking for grips for a new CZ 75bd I got....any you can suggest? Thanks
russ elder Hi Russ, love my CZ 75B pistols! I am still keeping them stock as I find them OK, some day I will check out some grips on them. Thanks for watching! Beretta Sr.
I didn't get the Sarsilmaz Mega 2000 because of the safety and how it's different. I have several Sarsilmaz and love them all but just like to have the same platform with the safety on all of what I have.
Kdglock44 It has to be the Surprise hit for us in 2017. The Trigger improved so much after 150 rounds, I was impressed.... now I want to try the Stainless one. Beretta Sr
sar, no decocker.. no rail.. worse grips than the arex..more muzzle flip..less rounds.. more expensive CZ mags..no bullet chamber indicator..not fully ambi controls..heavier..NO THANKS. The Rex is the clear winner here. The $200 price difference is well worth it.
Raul Fernandez Just keep in mind that 70% of all the shooters out there do not want most of the options that you mention the Rex adds to the comparison. With that extra $200 in price a buyer can pick up 6 to 8 CZ mags and be set up for any Range day. To me that is a real value. Beretta Sr.
Your probably right in that aspect. If you want a plain jane good shooter for range plinking it would be a better choice if you want to save money. It would make a good truck gun. The sar has no rail for weapon light so it would not be on my list for home defense. It's a full size so 70% wouldn't carry it. Really I see it in a different category than the arex as the arex is a bit more versatile. Can't go wrong with either gun.
i appreciate the fact that you both had the fortitude to make a choice; great video!
1 arspyder74 Thank-you for watching, we appreciate it very much. Beretta Sr.
100% the mega to me. arex isn't bad but the mega just shoots better for me
Just love your reviews. I got a Kilinc Mega and its sweet. After 300rds it is smoother tham my cz75b and 92FS. Thank you for your candid review.
AK It is a very good one..... Congratulations!! Beretta Sr.
Rex Zero 1 is our first slovenian made pistol. Fun fact..i live just a mile away from Arex factory. Great gun. Can compare with Sig.
Zdravko Novosel The Rex Zero 1 has been a very good Pistol for us. :)
Very Cool that you live close by. Beretta Sr.
You can shop online and get the SAR for around $330., stock grips and the Rex for $600.
retthok Good prices, thanks for the info.

Great comparison, as always guys! Dood, you need to get some G10 grips on that REX.
Justin Opinion Your right Justin, I think that would help allot.

14 pound trigger pull is deal killer for me for the model 2000
Where did you get those grips for the Sarsilmaz pistol?
As asked before and was mentioned in the video, what grips are on the sar 2000? Any options out there? Thanks.
Where could one find the Mega 2000?
Mr. Bill Online at several places including TR Imports.
Online. TR Imports, Ft. Worth Texas
What the aftermarket availability like for both of these Guns
i like both
I'm looking to buy the Rex Zero 1, should I buy it or something else ?
Sarsilmaz Kilinc 2000 Mega is nice pistol 👌🏼👌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I daily carry the Arex zero 1 T so im partial. But both guns are fine firearms
We both agree with you. We still own both of these pistols. Keepers for us.
Beretta Sr.
Sarsilmaz all the way! they are GREAT
Surprised you haven't upgraded to better grips from Hogue. The prices are around $70 For the Rex.
Would any of you say the Arex is better than a Glock?
I didn't get the Sarsilmaz Mega 2000 because of the safety and how it's different. I have several Sarsilmaz and love them all but just like to have the same platform with the safety on all of what I have.
Marc Thomas the newer model 2000 ST has the traditional down to fire safety
I want both.
Arex is my choice.
Cant beat the mega on looks when locked open....mmmmm mmmmm

You can get 75 mags for roughly $20.00 all day man.
