Santo Entierro - Procession of the Lord's Burial / Poblacion Makati 2024

Good Friday Catholic festivities at Poblacion Makati. The Santo Entierro or procession of the Lord's burial by Bgy Poblacion Makati City. JP Rizal Street was temporarily closed down for the procession. Despite the long weekend due to Holy week / Lenten festivities there are many more things to do inside the NCR.

Used to join procession sa province since may Pieta kaming nilalabas every Good Friday. And my usual task is bumili ng maraming bulaklak sa Dangwa tapos bitbit ko pa siya sa bus at roro pauwi

Sa mga Holy Week processions na nakita ko, unique ang sa Makati dahil karamihan ng mga pasos ay pasan-pasan pa rin ng mga deboto gaya sa Seville. Sa karamihan ng lugar sa Pinas, yung mga pasos ay nakapatong na sa may gulong na platform.

I love the Semana Santa in Sevilla. 😍 If only our weather here in the Philippines is cooler during Semana Santa, people can wear formal suits and those long robes (caripote).
