  • If you’ve recently visited the construction adhesive aisle at a home center, you may have noticed that there are A LOT of construction adhesives on the shelves. And with that many choices, choosing the best one for your project can be daunting task.
To help clear up the confusion we here at CPT decided to find out which of these 10 adhesives were the top performers. In addition to finding out which were the strongest, we also discovered which adhesives worked when they were cold and which held tight on wet surfaces.

This is one of the most productive and beneficial youtube videos out there. Good job. Has anyone in youtubeland ever used the loctite to secure a cinderblock to a concrete floor? I would be interested to know if you did and what the application was and how it worked.

So if the wood substrate failed then you should do a redo using a stronger substrate

Right after you said you would use the notched spreader for consistency, you did a few with huge white globs and didn’t use the spreader. Just sayin.

Hey there, thanks so much for the info on this product, do you still have that web page running? I was trying to see the result of the other products, but I can't access it.

FYI, I can't actually read the numbers from the other tests in the video, and I tried to check your website to see if you had the numbers there but it doesn't work.

I wonder about performance over time in the exterior Florida sun and rain? Has anybody ever tried to glue 1/2 fence planks to an exterior cinder block wall? I have an old fence and supporting wood columns and cross beams have rotted out. It's also a foot off a cinderblock wall where cats, rats and possums live. I was told I could finish the block wall to my liking but i like the consistent look of my wood fence and i could gain a good foot of real-estate space which I really need on that side. I know I could tap-con some treated 2x4s and then screw the planks in, but I was wondering if I could just glue the 1/2 planks to the wall like panel boards then secure them while the glue clues with some flat concrete nails.

Just what I needed before adhesive shopping, but it was a real struggle to hear the results of your tests because of the loud music drowning out your voice. Who would have thought we would actually want to know the results? :o(
