    I love how Gary takes full responsibility. GP is known for his trash talks and I'm sure he still has the dog in him but he is mature enough to acknowledge that he was wrong on his part as well. This is growth, not I'm from the streets and I'm an OG forever bullshit.

    • @marchveris
      @marchveris 2 года назад +10

      @Alex A I'm talking about Gary's reaction to his words in retrospect, not when it happened. You could tell he knows he was in the wrongs and he takes the responsibility to say it was his fault and he took it too far. Don't get me twisted.

    I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. I STOPPED being a Gary Payton fan in 1998-99. I wanted SO badly for Gary Payton to get traded to the Blazers, because he could have pulled THEM over the top, for a championship. I heard how hated he was by teammates. It's one thing to feud with Ricky Pierce, but when Nate McMillan, Sam Perkins, and Hersey Hawkins had bad stuff to say about Gary Payton, then PAYTON is the problem! In 2005-06, I was TOTALLY Pro-Dallas Mavericks, because I did NOT want Gary Payton or racist Jason Williams to win a ring! I have a LOT of Sonics jerseys, but I do NOT have a SONICS 20 PAYTON! Or, a Shawn Kemp, as I hate both Payton AND Kemp! Consider how much I LOVED Payton and Kemp, from 1992-1996.
