    Just a note: the sangban and kenkeni parts that Fara is playing are reversed from what the notation says (which is the same as in the published version of the Rhythm Reference). Otherwise, a nice and clear lesson.

    I can't tell you how much I appreciate these videos. After many years, we finally got a set of ballet duns, but due to having zero innate musical talent, I can take these videos & drums by the river & practice alone & not get noise complaints (laughing but true). I also really appreciate how he breaks down all the parts then puts it together as a whole! Thank you for the time & effort of these classes. Best. Kerrie Clarke-Kanda

    I wish i could take classes from you. You are a fantastic teacher. I have not had class in almost 2 months now. Im progressing but class being put off to long without early notice 😞

      Djembe Guru i live in st Louis Missouri. There aren't to many teachers here i know but a few. My teacher is from ivory coast and thats what we have been learning for the past 3 years for me. Bolocada i have friends know him well you would think i could get a good teacher that is dependable here in st Louis. 😞

    He’s playing the sanban part on the kenkeni and same in reverse. ?

    sangban and kenkeni are reversed compared to the pattern writing?!? the guy sings right and play reversed kenkeni sangban
