Nice review on ,theee, KZ/ DQS....Just recieved my dqs...i thought tbe shells were going to be bulky, and, pretrude..quite the contrary, great thing about the dqs, is!! The shell fits nice and snuggly, inside of my ears..Energetic tuning, thick bass, nice mids, no harsh treble..thats a good recipe for a nice iem.. KZ just keeps it simple, it all has to do with the 🐚 z...The no mic version of the dqs cable, is really nice..its pliable ,/ very relaxed ,and it works great..idk, what more a person could want..esp for the kz pricetags..Kz brings it home for budgeters..!!!
I haven't tried any of the new driver KZs yet. I've been looking for something bass heavy. This looks good. Plus I wanted something a little less cheap looking than the other KZs. It has new tech as a upgrade too. Fits the criteria. I'll give them a go.
As a studio and live sound engineer I can show up to a job with any iems except KZ. They have a bad rep in any professional situation. If you want to be hired again don’t show up with KZs. I use Blon, 7hz, Moondrop, and many others with no problem, can’t do that with KZ.
KZ is batting a hundred. Their tuning is now pretty much objectively deficient. For just a few bucks more people have a choice of many different IEMs, all of which are arguably just simply superior to this lazy garbage. Hola, Wan’er, zero, HBB. All of these pairs have better treble extension and arguably better resolution. To me this set is a disgrace when you look at what the EDA Balanced did for the same price. DISGRACE
I have the EDA balanced. I think people overstate its greatness but to each their own. If I used the same logic? It's not close to the others mentioned but similarly tuned. So KZ should probably stick to the bass heavy genre.
