Welcome to the Excellence Punta Cana Resort Tour. Today, we will explore the luxurious resort and discover what makes it a top vacation destination. This video is An Indepth Look Inside Excellence Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort.
We had a wonderful experience at Excellence Punta Cana, it was our 6th time visiting an Excellence brand resort. We just keep going back to Excellence, it’s the Caribbean Resort brand we like most. Excellence Punta Cana is a Gorgeous Luxury Hotel. We hope you enjoy our Excellence Punta Cana Resort Tour.

Tip: The marble floors in the rooms can get very slippery. Don’t leave your sliding door open, it creates condensation on the floor.
Tip: No dinner reservations required at any restaurant (not incl. Hibatchi). To avoid any line-ups for a restaurant go before 7pm.

Don't forget to go INTO the garden and walk around on the paths. There are boxes of food with bread and you can feed the birds - including the flamingos! We had flamingos eating out of our hand. A great experience. BTW - It's a wonderful resort, we've been twice, and it's still one of our favorites.

Great video, thank you! I just booked two vacations there today - May and then October. We have been to Excellence El Carmen and Excellence Playa Mujeres many times, looking forward to a change of scenery but keeping some level of familiarity.

Very helpful video, thank you! If no Club rooms are available, is it possible to upgrade to Club status for the amenities and facilities, but without the Club room?
Thanks so much for your comment and watching our video. That’s a great question. I don’t think you can upgrade to club level without a club room. You can always ask the resort, but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll have any luck. Sorry wish I could provide better news for you.

Love your videos! Very informative. I am planning to visit Punta Cana for my 20th wedding anniversary and I am trying to decide between Lopesan Costa Bavaro and Excellence Punta Cana. I celebrated my 50th birthday in Excellence Isla Mujeres and loved the the resort. I will appreciate it if you can answer a few questions for me. 1) Is the theater enclosed with air conditioning? 2) Do you recommend the Excellence Club? 3) What number in the resort map are the Junior swim up suites and are they close to the restaurants and beach? 1) The Theater at Excellence Punta Cana is open air, with no AC. It’s a huge, high ceiling area, close to the main lobby and Martini Bar.
2) We recommend the Excellence Club, but that’s our experience. We enjoy having access to the 2 club pools, the club beach and Magna restaurant and club bar. We found the service better at all the Club facilities vs. the rest of the resort. But even if you don’t choose Excellence Club, I’m sure you’ll still have a great time.
3) As far as I know the Junior Swim Up Suites are located in buildings 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 14. Buildings 6 and 7 are quite close to some of the restaurants, while buildings 11 and 14 are the farthest away from the main building with the restaurants. You should be able to see where these buildings are in our video. We found that the resort is very well designed, with most rooms close to the amenities.

Really great video. Planning on booking soon and was wondering if you can request the villa you would like and do you have to reservations at the restaurants. If so, how do you let them know? Also, how is the swimming in the ocean? Nobody really speak of this. Oh, do they have pickle ball courts? Sorry for all the questions but I like to do my research. Thanks

No reservations are required at any restaurant. The swimming is fun at the resort. The waves are very rough, so it’s not a relaxing swim. But if you like playing in big waves, you’ll have a blast. No pickleball court, that I know of. They do have tennis and basketball courts.

We have always booked directly through the Excellence website, with no issues. When booking directly, there’s a Flexible Rate that includes free transfer, plus free cancellation up to 24 hrs ahead of your stay. We have used the their toll free number before without issues. Not sure why you can’t find a travel agent to book an Excellence Resort. I think our travel agent books trips to Excellence resorts all the time.

Great video! Any safety concerns or you felt safe while on vacation at the resort? Never been to DR and being so close to Haiti hearing mixed things when it comes to traveling there from the USA - thanks!

Did you have make dinner and spa reservations in advance of your stay? If so, is there an online option to do so or did you have to call?

No dinner reservations are required at any restaurant, except for the Hibachi dinner at Spice restaurant. Yes reservations are required for a spa treatment at Miile Spa. You can make the reservations before you arrive, or while you’re at the resort. Making a reservation before you arrive will guarantee your massage, especially if you have a specific day/time you’d like for your massage. Sometimes it does get busy, and it’s difficult to get a massage time if you wait too long to book. Hope that information helps.

Do they offer you to upgrade to excellence club there and would you know how much I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra $500

They usually don’t offer an upgrade to Excellence Club while you are there, because the Club rooms are usually sold out. The best way of guaranteeing a Club room is booking ahead of time. It depends on the individual whether a Club room is worth it. We usually book a Club room because we like the private club beach and pools, plus we enjoy Magna restaurant and lounge. You’ll have a great time whether you book Club or not.

No trouble at all, keep the questions coming. No dinner buffet. They do have a Dominican Republic theme night (Mondays), which is a buffet. The selection at that theme night buffet is fantastic. Every Dominican dish there is, plus entertainment. There’s a daily buffet for breakfast and lunch, at Kitchen Table restaurant. The selection at Kitchen Table is very good. Loads of different options.
