Born and raised in Philadelphia wasn’t easy but this has really moved to extreme levels of poverty ,drug and crime issues. Hopefully the new city government administration can get it under control.

If this was one of your family members, a daughter, a son, mother, father, grandpa grandma aunts uncles cousins niece, nephews if you seen any of these individuals on the street knowing that some of them are miss understood would you help them? Would you turn your back on them, would you judge them, I think that if people would look at things differently, we could change something some people that are out there might make a choice to do so but what made them go there for the first time if they are drug addicts it’s a disease would you get them help or would you just walk on by, God says love thy neighbor, so please do whether it’s a tent or house apartment a place to live don’t walk by. There is something deep inside of their hearts that need mending you don’t wake up one morning and say oh I’m gonna be homeless in a drug attic I don’t know if any children make plans to have a careerin drugs for homelessness

I’ve read your comment a couple of times and I totally agree. But unfortunately, humanity isn’t like that. Like you, I wish it was but it’s not!
The biggest problem with drug addiction is it’s a social issue created by the people, a group of individuals in the community. The people themselves cause the problem! How do you stop people smoking? How do you stop people drinking alcohol? How do you stop people taking drugs….. these are all social issues that have plagued society for thousands of years!
You asked a question, “Would I help a relative if I saw them on the streets?” Of course I would! I would give them all the love and support they need to get help! The bigger question is when dose that help stop because it can’t go on forever. Regardless of how they got there, they have to want to get back!
