GoD !!!!! 😮 You've Done it Again ❤❤ Unbelievable Track !!!! Heavenly Melodic Sequences,, Gorgeous Analog Tones, A Real 80s Electronic New Romantic Uphoric Track, Just Speechless 😮❤❤❤😊Jaffa
I love your videos, the music is always great and I really enjoy your explanations! Have you ever tried the Perkons? Most demos are more dirty/industrial than your typical sound, but it has lots of knobs.
Thanks mate! 😃🙏 Never played with a Perkons, but I thought about getting one some time ago, but way too big and not enough space in my home studio 😅 (I love Erica Synths instruments though, I have the DB-01 Bassline and LXR-02)
just watched your hapax video, nice to find a video about the hapax that was actual music! how does the hapax and this keystep pro compare? is the keystep redundant with a hapax or are the complimentary?
Thanks! I'd say that the Hapax can do nearly everything the Kesytep Pro can do (except for the obvious keys, pitch and modulation strips...). However I find the KSP handier to sketch ideas. The Hapax is more powerful (more tracks, possibility to switch between 2 projects, up to 8 MIDI effects per track, modulators, generators etc.). So it quite depends on your needs and the workflow which suits you best 😉
I have 2 choices, Polend SEQ or KSP as my main sequencer as I am pushed for room, the SEQ is there rn but I am tempted to get out the KSP in place. So bad am I pushed for room that the PC keyboard I use to type has to go on top either device, luckily it's a MX Keys which is wireless and lightweight. I am sure I will work it out but you're swaying me with KSP but the SEQ is awesome for drums as you can see 8 lanes of 32 steps, which will work great for the Jomox AB I have here. In saying all this, that track was DAF, and that's why I think the KSP as a live perf tool is pretty unrivaled for hands on. I am in no creative mind atm as setting everything back up is a nightmare, still, your track has inspired me to get off my butt and keep at it, so thanks. Really was an awesome track, with so few devices too!!!
Hey thanks for your comment! Really appreciate that you are aware of the challenge here to make a track using only these 2 instruments 😊 As for the sequencer, I don't have any Polyend instruments so can't really say. However other hardware sequencers like the Squarp Instruments Hapax, Elektron Digitone etc. and can easily say that the Keystep Pro is probably the one which has the best ergonomy for me! It sure isn't as powerful as the Hapax, but is very handy to quickly record ideas etc.
@@2MinuteWarning I did do the swap out, it is all about ergonomics. I have a bunch of sequencers, my next maybe the Oxi One as it does everything I need. Polyend Play is supposed to be getting a MIDI perf update but we have been waiting for that for over 6 months now. KSP is more functional than the SEQ in this instance, but the SEQ is a keeper as it has 32 steps/8 lanes, great for drums. Hapax is almost twice the $ of the Oxi One here so far too expensive, it's almost as much as the Reliq which is soon to be released. It's all good though because we have a ton of different sequencers available, my 1st was the BSP and that was a love/hate but I made one of my best pieces with that.
@@DankePlace I totally get what you mean! I have the BSP too but since I got the KSP, haven't really used the BSP. Sometimes it's not really about the technical features of the sequencers/instruments, but how you connect with it. And for me, each time I use the KSP, I feel quite inspired 😄
Very melodic and upbeat, this song made my day better!!! Very nice work as always!!!!
