@@goobstersroom sick man you are an excellent teacher i've been trying to get ken's vocal sound on this song if you have any insight I would so appreciate it! ruclips.net/video/yB5bM0WFN8o/видео.html
Yo G, thanks so much for the detailed tutorial!! I just wanted to ask if you know about a plugin similar to the air ensamble, cuz i have been searching for something like that before already, just to get a suttle effect! because im not ready to invest 149 bucks for it right now...
It's a Throw Reverb send. So find the word where you want it to be spaced out and then send it to an aux track that has a long reverb on it and you should be good to go with that specific sound. You could also add other combination of effects on that like delays and stereo wideners to get a bigger washed sound
It always changes from song to song and this was a while ago so I can't really recall but for me a general rule of thumb is I like to use a 4:1 ratio and get anywhere around -3dB to -5dB of compression. The threshold, attack & release settings are always changing again depending on the song and how hot the artist is coming in
@@officialrenocorelli8288 you gotta hold the windows key on windows or the control key on Mac and click on a plugin and based off whichever plugin you pick it’ll bypass only all the plugins that follow not the ones before. Then if you highlight the track you want to bypass the plugins you could also hit Shift + A to bypass all plugins Shift + E to bypass only EQs Shift + C to bypass compressors only Etc there’s more online but just look for the ones you’re looking for I think shift + r bypasses reverb and shift d bypasses delay plugins
The throw delays and reverbs are on sends but the actual reverb itself it just depends on how wet I want it to sound. If I want it really pushed back then it’ll be directly on the adlib track and I play around with the dry/wet knob but if I want a little more control then I’ll throw it on a send and then adjust the blend accordingly. It’s all a preference thing but either one works to get similar results
It’s basically new plugins from scratch I have a template with simple effects and plugins for adlibs and layers but nothing too crazy it’s just a slight filter, compression, panning for adlibs, and stereo widening for layers. But if I have an idea of how I want something to sound in my head I will usually build on what I have or start new from scratch then those tracks will be routed to my main vocal bus so that way the leads adlibs and layers feel like they’re coming from the same pocket unless I want them to specifically sound different on purpose.
It’s just a taste thing if you want your vocals to sound more aggressive then you could throw light saturation on the vocals to give them a little more bite and grit but if you want more of a cleaner sounding vocal then you could live without it on the leads. Just depends on what you’re going for but what specifically with saturation we’re you struggling with? Does it sound too aggressive when you throw it on?
So I followed this and it sounds great, however I'm having some latency issues? Which is weird because none of the other tracks in the same session are having these issues. I've tried everything in the book to solve it. Lowered the buffer size to 32, enabled low latency etc. Anybody else having this issue?
@@graphikmusic1066 there’s certain plugins that I’m using that do not have a low latency mode, For example you can NOT record with little alter boy on because it’ll cause latency as well as plugins like soothe, any limiters, etc The best way to fix that is to make the high cpu plugins that cause a lot of latency when recording inactive.
